"3043: The Adventures of Zadd" Overview

Okay, so "3043: The Adventures of Zadd" is an original story that I'm working on for NaNo. It's basically a sci-fi novel set in the year 3043 that follows the exploits and adventures of 13 year old Zadd and his friends as they attempt to find Zadd's lost memories. Backstories on the main characters below: Zadd Zadd is obviously the main character, as the story mainly centers around his forgotten past. 13 years old at the beginning of the story, he wakes up aboard a space station, mid-under-attack by the Isulo, the main villians of the story, with no memories of his past, who he is, or where he came from. After finding a special laser pistol titled 'Beam', (this will be important later,) he boards a exiting star cruiser, where he meets Dorlea and her android bodyguard, Cohds. After being basically blackmailed into helping them, Zadd accompanies the duo to the planet Dorva-Akela, in hopes of finding a scavenger gang leader named Aodne. Instead, the three find Aodne missing, and their only help is his younger sister, Bresnya, and her pet Berago, (a kind of alien,) Olo. Then a bunch of other stuff happens, but it would frankly all be spoilers. Dorlea Okay, she's a tough one to describe, because of her special secret (which I'm obviously not going to tell you). But she's 12 years old at the beginning of the story, when she blackmails Zadd into helping her and her friend Cohds. I can't tell you why she was on the space station, or why she needs to find/knows Aodne. Sorry. However, what I will say is that she tries to act tough, and tries to hide her technical smarts (she's a genius). She is also totally oblivious of Cohds' affections. Cohds Cohds is an android, (which means he has star-shaped eyes,) designated 'JE7-D4', who is appointed as Dorlea's bodyguard. Unfortunately, he's not a very good one, as he is pretty cowardly. However, he's determined to impress her. (He has a crush on her.) He is usually the happy-go-lucky one who tries to be good at something. Unfortunately, he later becomes depressed after learning a secret about his origins (spoilers) and having his heart crushed. However, after meeting Adri and converting her to good, he regains his usual cheerful state. Bresnya Bresnya is the 13 year old sister of Aodne and lives with him in his group of scavengers on the planet Dorva-Akela. After her brother goes missing, she agrees to help Zadd and his friends find him. She is quite fond of Zadd, though she tries not to show it, and is extremely good at anything acrobatic. She has a pet Berago named Olo, who she built mechanical legs for out of scraps of metal and spare parts. Olo Olo is a Striped Berago, a type of monkey/bat alien race. Most Beragoes do not speak, with Olo as the exception, although it is rather scratchy and in fragments, like a cave man. After losing his legs in childhood during an explosive battle, Bresnya created artificial mechanical ones, which look rather odd, though frankly, Olo doesn't care. He is later constructed more realistic legs using the combined technology of Cohds, Adri, and Dorlea. He often hangs onto Bresnya and calls Zadd "Spike hair". Adri Designated 'KT11-B5', Adri is, like Cohds, an android, giving her star-shaped eyes. She was originally created by the Isulo, using stolen technology from Cohds' creator, as a super weapon. Many more of her were meant to be created, in an attempt to form an army of sorts. At first, she is very by-the-book, but after spending time with Cohds (who converted her to good), she grew to simply be the innocent, naive, cute one. She adores animals, especially Olo. So, that's the main stuff. Phew. I hope to post more art soon. Tell me what you want me to draw/write about and I'll do it (or try, anyway...)!
