So when they dig into this small, unassuming mound, one among dozens of larger ones in the Cohokia complex just east of St. Louis, they found a young man and woman, side by side. How sweet! Then they found four makes, their hands and heads cut off. Oh. Then they found fifty-three young females, piled in two stacks. Uh oh.
