Weather is getting warmer day by day and so are we contributing to it,
Grasses change their color as the seasons do,
Roses remain red, other colors too are seen they seem to be fresh sometimes and sometimes wilted.
No man seems to be out on the street, rather there is chaos at the hospitals. The empty roads and air fill with a siren of the vehicle carrying the weak bodies deprived of oxygen, remind me of the past. People queueing up for oxygen, vaccine, and treatment it's the visuals of this new normal.
People spared with some mere square feet of space but are different for each one.To the common man, it's someplace to rest, eat and drink and people just a screen away to talk to . To the survivors, it's the empty room with just an oxygen cylinder to talk to and to the saviour is the ICU and a long list of patience to look after.
It's the same battlefield, but here those who wage the war are soldiers in a white coat . It’s not a war against a trillion mass of soldiers from the enemy land, but just a virus in a nutshell!
There isn't any bloodshed and firing, but yet we tend to surrender ourselves to the ubiquitous and havoc-creating virus. No cannons or guns, but only vaccines and paracetamol. There aren't any shields or bulletproof coats but just a PPE kit, face shield, and mask.
It's as usually a no complaint no solution situation for the warriors. They are drenched in the so-called protective kits, their eyes deprived of sleep, hands tired of smelling the sanitisers, ears used to the panic calls and a helpless heart on seeing tears in the eyes of the dear ones of whom they treated.
The days back to normal lasted nothing more than the interval of the movie, short and soon were we reminded of the era that now brought its twin brother. How long did we wait to see every closed door open after a long rest and soon did it all shut off and repeat the past . The stages of locking up each arena under human control and dramatic postponing of events to come by in the near future, following its old trend.
Numbers just increasing and we might forget to count on any coming day. An abnormal guest snatching people, dreams, good days of life from each one of us. Doesn't it seem weird?.
That's how the abnormalities of the new normal are creeping around us as days go by!
It is again the battle between life and death, a battle to get back our survival rights, it's a battle to get back the rights to walk and breathe freely, it's a battle between mankind and a mere but still severe virus!!
