“ Now that’s no way to treat a lady.. “
the taunt falls naturally from her lips, curved into a smirk as the witch effortlessly avoids another attack. she hasn’t even lifted her spear yet and here they were, NULL lackey’s doing everything they could to put an end to Nine’s interference. of course, that wasn’t going to happen but it’s been so long since she’s had a chance to let loose. there was a vibrancy in golden eyes, a spark of the fun she was having. and if her chance to let off some steam came in the form of annoying invaders? well, then she was going to enjoy every last second of it. Nine always did enjoy a good fight -- four against one was perfect odds.
one had already been dealt with before she even announced her presence. an unfortunate run in that involved a handy little blade and their neck. fingertips toy with the simple kitchen knife, twirling it back and forth as the remaining three circled her like sharks surrounding an injured fish. it was easy to see that she wasn’t taking this fight the least bit serious-- they were small fry. not even worth her time, really....but it was only right to help a fellow witch, now wasn’t it?
the knife suddenly stops, fingers grasping the hilt tightly as she swings to her right. her target is hit, the blade piercing flesh and muscle of one soldier’s neck, all the way to the hilt. Nine doesn’t even give them a moment to stagger as she sends them careening into a ruined store-front with a kick to the chest. two down. the witch ducks, fingers gripping the ankle of another to knock them on their back and her heel is brought down against their neck with just a tiny bit of pressure. she can see the fear in their eyes-- that knowing look of what comes next. but rather than put them out of their misery just yet, she reaches out to grip the handle of her spear, tugging it free with practiced ease. the last soldier is charging her from the back and Nine sighs in disappointment.
“ Are any of you even trying? Pathetic, really-- “ words cut short as she twirls her weapon once, jabbing the bladed end behind her. the sounds of gurgling and broken gasps reach her ears and the witch jerks the spear up to silence the noises once and for all “ -- but what do you expect from trash? “ three down.
“ Then there was one little piggy. “ was it cruel, to toy with their lives so easily? maybe. but as far as she was concerned, it was what they deserved for having the audacity to even TRY to tell her what to do. she hums, making it seem as if she was thinking of letting them go....only to drive the spearhead down hard enough she could feel the tip of the blade meet the ground below. Nine moves her heel away, hips cocking to the side as she shifts her weight to the other leg. a hand rises to run through vibrant hair, brushing aside any hat blocked her line of sight. then, she simply smiles.
“And then there was none. “
