jealous, yeonjun.

out of all people, it had never crossed your mind that yeonjun would be one to get jealous easily, or at all really.

maybe he did, but since he isn’t very expressive of his feelings you wouldn’t be much aware. but that was okay, if something bothered him he knew he could mention it to you.

today, as you were sipping your orange juice per usual, you got this text by someone whom you had met a while ago whilst on a trip.

hi, i think you’re very attractive. wanna go out?

you didn’t know whether to tell yeonjun or not, yet you didn’t think much of it at all. it was nothing anyways, just you politely declining somebody’s offer.

yeonjun won’t really care anyways,

or so you thought.

yet the glare he was giving your phone as he looked over your shoulder shows otherwise.

asleep, yeonjun.

you were lying in between yeonjun’s arms on your couch, the tv playing some random show. it was a sunday, and it was almost as if all the tiredness of the week hit you in a wave.

it’s not that often you have cuddle moments with your boyfriend, so you wanted to really stay up and enjoy it, yet you didn’t even notice how your eyelids shut closed.

yeonjun was too distracted on his phone, until he felt a little hungry, and spoke; “hey, wanna get anything to eat?”

he waited a little, and after he didn’t get a reply he turned to look at you. noticing you had fallen asleep on him, his first thought was to wake you up, yet he instead stayed still for a couple of seconds.

after some thinking, he slowly and gently placed his arms around you, making sure not to wake you up, it was almost as if he was afraid he’d hurt you.

after he held you, he pulled you closer and smiled slightly just at how lovely you looked as you slept.

he kissed your forehead softly, whispering a small “i love you.”

because of the way yeonjun was laying down today, he had a part of his nape and upper back exposed to you.

today was a rather stressful day for him, and you wanted to try your best to relax him. and so, you decided to try something.

you stretched your arm out to him, the end of your fingertips barely touching his skin softly. you moved your hand along his neck, caressing him softly.

he responded with a shiver, and you assumed he didn’t like it so of course you stopped on the spot, turning the opposite way to sleep.

around two minutes later, yeonjun spoke; “are you still up?”

“yeah” you responded, turning around expecting to face him, but seeing his back yet again.

“can you um, do the hand thingy again. you don’t have to, it’s not like i really want you to anyways-” he said.

you smiled to yourself, “of course.”

“please yeonjun, come home,” you said in a low tone, as tears stopped your voice from becoming any louder.

yeonjun was never late.

all this time you’ve known him , he was never , not even a minute late.

everytime someone was, he would judge them and say how impolite he finds it, even though sometimes you wouldn’t be on time to dates either.

yet today, he was almost two hours late. of course you tried to call him, your calls would go ignored.

as a whole list of bad thoughts run through your head, you hid your face in a pillow, trying to stop your sobbing.

suddenly, you felt something softly touch your shoulder.

you jumped up and saw him, with an almost terrified yet also sad face, looking at you.

other than sad movies, he had never seen you cry. not a single time. you didn’t want him to.

you were expecting him to walk out the room, confused, and sit somewhere else, he was more of a cold type.

but, to your surprise, he instead wrapped his arm around you and hugged you.

he hugged you tightly, tighter than ever.

you sat there for a little, until he spoke, in an almost teary voice; “did i make you cry?”

“no, no, it’s not your fault, i was just worried because you’re never late and you’re always on time and it’s not bad that you’re late-” you were speaking in a fast tempo, until he cut you off.

“i picked you up some flowers.”

you were sitting on your couch, holding your phone sideways as you were way too invested in playing minecraft. all of a sudden, an annoying army of zombies caught you off guard and you had to respawn, that for, you decided to look up from your screen.

yeonjun was sitting on a table a little far away, typing something in his computer. he looked so pretty, how is this guy real? and so, you decided to sit and watch him for a bit.

you noticed something in the couple of minutes in which you just stared at him, which really baffled you. from times to times, he would open his phone, the screen lighting up his face. he would look down and smile.

the first time you thought it may not be what you were thinking, maybe it was that he were checking the time and thinking he’s done?

but after the third time the only option left was it being a notification. by who, who was it that was making him smile everytime he saw it?

he went to the bathroom and so, this was your chance.

‘this isn’t yo-’ you almost told yourself, but you were cut off by the fact that your body on instinct run there.

you opened the phone only to realize what he was smiling at.

it was a picture of you two together.

stars always mesmerized you. the way they shone was so bright, as pretty as a picture.

and it seemed like you weren’t the only one astonished by their beauty; you could hear multiple snapping sounds coming from the other individual accompanying you on the rooftop.

you turned around to see yeonjun looking at the pictures he had taken and smiling a little. how could you blame him; the starts really were a little extra pretty tonight.

“coming, going to get some water.” yeonjun said as he placed his camera carefully on the ground, and soon after left you on your own.

you were curious of the images taken, so you went over and picked up yeonjun’s camera.

surprisingly, there were no pictures of the stars.

he was taking pictures of you.

you came home, and checked around the room who knows how many times, clearly scared of something.

you had just watched a thriller movie with one of your friends, and you were terrified, to say the least. you wanted to call out for your boyfriend, yeonjun, so you could walk inside together, yet you thought that he was probably resting, his job being quite tiring.

actually, he wasn’t resting. he was waiting for you. for you to come back, for him to listen to you tell him all about your day and go in detail about every dog you saw on your way home. he didn’t show it, but he loved that so much. it was quite weird how he heard a door open, and never heard it close. he thought you may have forgotten something, and went to get it, but after a few minutes he panicked.

and so, he got up and came only to see you, arms crossed, right behind the door. “what are you doing?” he asked.

“chilling what abou-” you almost excused yourself,

“under the door?” he cut you off.

“yeah” you replied.

he sighed, “what’s wrong?”

“i saw this horror movie and now there’s definitely something under the bed and in the closet and-”

you got cut off by him simply walking away, not replying. yeah, yeonjun’s cold nature, and everything, but this really hurt you. you were genuinely scared, you just needed him to take you inside.

a few minutes later, he came back.

“there are no monsters under the bed or in the closet.”

he said,

“i checked.”

you weren’t quite sure what yeonjun was doing; you didn’t want to ask him, you knew he must have had some sort of plan.

he looked so confident on the way he grabbed ingredients which had nothing to do with each other at all, since when do eggs go along with avocado, bacon, and sugar?

“yeonjun, what are you doing?” you asked, resting your arm on the couch you were seated on observing him.

he made a ‘tsk’ sound, “does it look like i don’t kno-”

his phrase was cut off by a bag of flour he reached to get which fell open on his face, painting him in white dust.

you knew how he must have gotten pissed at his own actions, and you really gave your full strength not to laugh, but a small giggle slipped.

after a short pause and a deep sigh, he turned to look at you.

that’s when you really couldn’t hold it back any longer and fell into laughter.

you were expecting him to roll his eyes and walk inside, yet instead,

he broke into laughter.

because you were laughing too, and he found that cute.
