Create your own smooth and refreshing cold brew coffee concentrate at home. Perfect for hot summer days or whenever you crave a cold coffee pick-me-up.
Ingredients: 1 cup coarsely ground coffee beans. 4 cups cold water.
Instructions: In a large jar or pitcher, mix the coffee grounds with cold water. Make sure to mix the coffee grounds well so that they are all fully saturated. Put a lid or piece of plastic wrap on top of the jar or pitcher. Put the mixture in the fridge for 12 to 24 hours to let it steep. After letting the coffee steep, strain it into a different container through a fine-mesh sieve or coffee filter to get rid of the grounds. Put the cold brew coffee concentrate in a clean bottle or jar to keep it safe. To serve, mix the concentrate with water or milk until it's the strength you want. A 1:1 or 1:2 ratio of concentrate to water or milk is common. You can add ice and sugar if you want to. Enjoy the cold brew coffee you made yourself!
