rimestar was the leader of coldclan for many horrifying moons. her reign was brutal, made into a nightmare by her ability to craft horrors from the shadows
so, when her reign and life finally came to an end at the hands of an eager apprentice (who shortly after named xerself sealfrost), coldclan breathed a sigh of relief. and then, of course, the question of who should be the next leader came up
sealfrost and elktail became embroiled in a furious debate over which of them should be leader. sealfrost, riding high off the thrill of xer recent heroics, naturally assumed xe would be the perfect leader. elktail, a much more experienced warrior, though not as popular with the younger generation, contested the idea of a newly made warrior becoming leader
so, the clan’s mediator, glaciershine, stepped in. they suggested shiverpelt should be made leader. now, shiverpelt was a good warrior. frequently went on patrols, never got into any trouble, and was generally well liked by the clan in the sense that he was relatively plain
wanting to at last end the arguing, and having no reason to think shiverpelt might be unfit for the position of leader, coldclan agreed that shiverpelt should be leader
shiverpelt, meanwhile, was grappling with his newfound sentience
see, when rimestar was leader, she toyed with the idea of creating an army of cats from her shadows. she knew that eventually coldclan would turn on her. so she wanted a safety net
but creating an entire cat out of shadows is exhausting. and the result wasn’t satisfactory either. rimestar’s creation was boring, to put it lightly. he was capable of everything an average warrior was, yes, but he was stuck at average. rimestar had created a decent warrior who was only capable of following instructions. when he engaged in conversations, it was as if all his responses were preprogrammed to be as average as possible
disappointed by her creation and knowing that creating a second would cause further drain on her powers, rimestar gave up trying to turn her creation into a weapon, allowing him to continue on as the average warrior he was clearly meant to be
of course, coldclan had never learned of this, knowing the creation only as shiverpelt. coldclan, in the worst of rimestar’s reign, had much more things to worry about than a strange warrior who seemed to have come out of nowhere. most cats assumed he’d always been there, some boring average cat who’d they’d just ignored for being so plain. those who clearly recalled shiverpelt not being there before assumed he was some outsider who’d joined coldclan and had naturally fit right in. nothing about shiverpelt warranted further questioning
but after rimestar’s death, something changed. shiverpelt had changed. nobody noticed it, of course, because shiverpelt was the least of anyone’s concerns at the time. the change wasn’t sudden. it was more as though shiverpelt was slowly awakening from a deep sleep. see, when rimestar’s life ended, shiverpelt had slowly been becoming more and more real
Antlerstrike is acting deputy of ColdClan. He and his sister, Velvetdrift, are the most senior warriors. Velvetdrift lost her mate and kits in the recent famine, but took in and raised Twistkit and Hopkit, the youngest members of ColdClan who were orphaned by the famine.
Bearnose is acting leader of ColdClan. He’s the oldest cat in the Clan and has no known relatives. He has cataracts in both eyes and is almost completely blind, only able to percieve light.

Were said to originally have been snow leopards who came from cold mountains now melted, settled into the territories that they now live in.
However, they had a problem.

Had long been established as they were mountain lions that had lived there long before the snow leopards thought of moving.
Three moons into the bloody battles between the two clans, a heavy snowstorm started, leading ColdClan with the belief of their rightful place, before lightning struck the two camps, causing large scale fires and killing many cats.
The two clans tried their best to build up what they had lost, but couldn’t fully achieve it until the two clans helped each-other.
EmberClan
The newest clan to join, but has shown itself to be just as resilient as the other clans. Originally believed to be descended from another form of the mountain lions, the firecats.
They were believed to have broken off after Twolegs shredded up half of their forest territory to make the stinky Outer Region. The so called firecats refused to back down from their territory, and decided to instead adapt. They’re said to be the first ones to have shrunk to be normal cat-sized.
Currently the clan lives close to the Outer Region. They have quick wit, and are the most resourceful of the clans. Unfortunately the biggest problem they seem to have is their insecurity.
They are the newest of the clans, and are still trying to prove their worth, they often smell foul, and their loyalty to StarClan and the Warrior Code is debated amongst the other clans. They’re the first to be accused of non-warrior like acts, and are easily seen as weak.
Though generally unwanted, EmberClan stays, as the other two clans not wanting to fight and have history repeat itself back in the Tales Of Old when the snow leopards wanted to settle.
