Rain made mud and mud made it next to impossible for Harmony to get enough traction to chase after some of the local wildlife that was near their tent for her to take back to her father for their dinner. The most the four year old had managed to catch was a frog, which she was pretty sure was not the safe kind to cook and eat so she let it go. Her emerald eyes however had managed to spot the other sitting under a dry spot made by the trees.
“Ta make sure yer oki.” Her ears had laid back at the hiss, just a little startled at first, but her want to help outweighed her caution as one slightly muddy finger pointed to the basket. “Do ya want help carrying dat? I’m really strong.”
“Harmony... You’re not going to find a rabbit in this mu....ck.”As her father caught up, he paused. The hackles on the back of his neck, covered by his long quills raised slightly and he slowly reached out to take his daughter’s hand before taking a step back. Amethyst eyes were watching very carefully at what the other was planning to do, but Harmony pulled her hand free enough to still hold true to her offer.
She would be happy to carry the basket of food for the other.
