Part I 1. when I was fourteen I started wearing lipstick to make up for my not-so-bright eyes And not-so-thin legs 2. When I was fourteen, i started to walk with my eyes drawn to the floor,- because people wont remember me when they look in my eyes . I started with hips-swinging and lips biting  to keep myself from laughing to loud 3. With fourteen, i started kissing boys i knew for an hour  to forget the feeling of my mothers eyes on my wrists 4. With fourteen, my sister told me boys don't like girls that talk too much and laugh too loud And my mom told me that none of it was true still, i held my breath and kept the words swallowed down, everyday after that. And my throat felt like acid. 5. With fourteen,- i wished i was so much more  and collected bruises on my thighs to keep myself from thinking about death Part II 1. With turning fifteen i stopped with the hips swinging and kissing boys   2. With fifteen, my lips are bliss and split open and bleeding  and i know from my mothers eyes that i do not make her proud like my sister does 3. With fifteen, i got used to having a poisoned body and i learned it does not hurt if you don't pay attention 4. with fifteen i did not stop thinking about death
