It's wild how many cole rpers there are now! Back when my Cole was on his own blog it felt like I was the only one in the world. I'm glad so many people love our boy as much as I do :3

You can tell a lot about a person from their hands...
“They warned her not to take the helmet off. It’s too easy to be seen when the moon is full, and little boys with too much power always need more.”
An incomplete list of people Cole loves, in no particular order.
Varric aka dad #1. Varric always takes time to explain things to Cole and help him understand how the real world works. Cole wants to make him proud.
Solas aka dad #2. Solas accepts Cole for what he is. He doesn’t expect more than he can give. Solas makes Cole feel safe.
Rhys and Evangeline! Even though they rejected him he still loves them. They were his first friends and Evangeline was his first crush. You never forget that. When they get in contact with the Inquisitor and say they’re sorry it’s the first time since leaving the White Spire that Cole cries.
Josephine aka the coolest person ever, probably. She can make people not kill each other by talking. That’s gotta be a superpower, right? Cole wants to be more like her.
Cullen aka Cole’s pet project.
Maryden! I don’t consider their relationship in Trespasser to be canon to my portrayal, but I do like the idea of them being friends and trying to make the world a little kinder together.
"Alone and afraid. Over and over, taken apart only to be put back together to start over again. Then a light-- like a million suns. He’s a hero. My hero.”
Question: is Cole extremely brave to the point of recklessness or does he not have a great concept of what could or could not kill him?
Answer: Yes.
Cole @ Solas: I'm not mad I'm just disappointed
In Asunder, Cole was almost a textbook demon. He came through the veil and was driven from his purpose by pain and grief. He lost himself and his Compassion was twisted to Despair. He thought he was being merciful but was really mostly acting to sustain himself. He wanted to be help, but mostly he wanted to be seen. This is all pretty standard for a corrupted spirit/demon.
Debatably, the thing that made him unusual was not even the fact that he thought he was a ghost (all the other ghosts in the series are explained in-lore as memories etched into the fade, so the more lucid ghosts are likely spirits similar to Cole who were imprinted with the memories and personality of the dead person).
So what made him different? I’m gonna be honest, I have no idea. Was it the fact that he was with the original Cole for hours or even days while he died? Was it the way the veil at the White Spire is utterly fucked? Was it the friendships he made while he thought he was human? It might even be that he used up so much magical energy becoming corporeal rather than possessing something that he lost a bunch of his powers and became stuck between spiritual and “real”. The exact mechanism of what happened that makes Cole special is a mystery.
