Miscellaneous Awoo Headcanons under the cut.
Hircine believes in power, not divine right. He is the Prince of the Hunt because hes the best. Not because of what he is but because of what he does. To embody divinity is to become divine. To embody the hunt is to become the Huntsman. Nobody does it better, so it is his realm to rule. He doesnt really care how anyone else does it. That's their business.
Farkas isnt actively religious but he does believe. Hes not sure what to do about religion because on the one hand Hircine gave him his cool woof powers but on the other hand Kodlak says those cool woof powers are bad for the soul and he reeeeally wants to stay with his family in the afterlife so hes kinda :/ about Hircine. Overall, his opinion on religion is "Right the gods. The gods meant specifically to be worshipped. Aetherius's gods."
Farkas would 100% die for any of the Companions, no question. But he'd generally trust them to look after themselves in a fight and might not catch the crucial moment. He'd die to protect a child. But a stranger who's grown? He'd warn them of the danger and try to help if he can but he wouldn't put himself between them and the killing blow. Farkas wants to live and be happy. He loves his life and his family. He has a lot to lose if he dies. Hes gonna fight tooth and claw nail to survive in any circumstance. But ultimately, family comes first. He wonders sometimes if Jergen felt the same way. Maybe that's why he left.
Farkas is a romantic at heart. He falls in love really easily. He also gets his heart broken a lot. Hes baby.
Hircine doesnt have much of an opinion on love until he falls in love himself,,, then he goes absolutely feral just heart eyes everywhere
