Knowledge of Coletive Consciousness in Brazil
A recurrent problem (at least in my city) is that people can’t respect others. Most specifically, they seem to believe that they live alone. It’s an (horrible) habit in here that people listen to music REALLY loudly, mostly brazilian funk, commonly produced by the marginalized (socially talking) part of society, and listened to many degrees of society, mostly young people (of every class) and adults (mostly from poor origin).
Also, the other part of those that listen to loud music are immigrants from the northeast side of Brazil, that fleed from their states to seek a better life in the southeast region. They bring their “native” music, forró, music that are famous for talking about relationships and parties. Those two kinds of music (forró and brazilian funk) are usually played really loudly.
I usually say that people that don’t respect others spaces don’t have knowledge of coletive consciousness, they usually do what they want, because it’s tiring for them to adequate to the desire of others, if they want to listen to loud music, they will, even knowing (or ignoring the fact that) people from the arounds don’t want to listen to (any kind of) loud music, this people normally are surrounded by their own group that supports their habits, and criticize those who argues against their behavior.
