Garnax sat in the circle of xir crew as the last of the 3 moons rose and the close but cold sun set. The moment it disappeared behind the horizon the temperatures of the planet dropped an uncomfortable amount, even for the fairly large group of humans accounting for nearly half of their research crew.
One of the humans, Suzanne, suggested a bonfire which was accepted as a good idea, but on a much smaller scale.
As the pyramid of dried sticks and logs caught fire, Jeremiah - an expert biologist - gained an odd, sparkling look in his eye. He cleared his throat then began to sing with his lovely voice.
“Let’s gather ‘round the campfire, and sing our campfire song”
A few humans joined into the second verse harmonizing beautifully with a look of amused nostalgia on their faces as the others waited for something.
“Our c-a-m-p-f-i-r-e s-o-n-g song”
The crew that weren’t human appeared to be enjoying this tradition of singing around the fire, and continued to listen happily.
“And if you don’t think we can sing it faster then you’re wrong”
The humans not singing appeared to be stifling laughter, while a few including Jeremiah maintained a contrasting somber mood.
“But it’ll help if you just sing along…”
Suzanne chimed in with a three note lead up
“Bum, bum, bum……”
To the horror of all in the circle, all the humans began chanting very loudly and all together.

And if you don’t think that we can sing it faster then you’re wrong
But it’ll help if you just sing along

A few broke off from the group a look of determination on their faces as they chanted,
“Song! C-A-M-P-F-I-R-E…”
“Good!” Jeremiah yelled, then pointed towards the confused group of aliens calling out, “Squidward!”
They all seemed very lost and surprised as Jeremiah waited a few beats then shouted “Good!”
"It'll help, it'll help, if you just sing along!!!!"
Many "air guitars" were seen among the crowd of humans, some even sliding onto their knees on the ground.
They all broke into laughter as zey once again began wondering where the group all learned this… interesting tune that had last been heard in an animated show made on earth hundreds of years ago.

Rose’s good eye looked up, meeting the brunet’s un-bruised green ones. A stark contrast to her own. His hand brushed across her cheek and she winced, breaking the contact.
“I- uh. Ran into a door.” She tongues her split lip, the acrid taste of blood meeting her tastebuds.
To expect Sebastian to believe this lie was to expect the Earth to stop turning; very unlikely and probably impossible. He was smarter than that and if the skeptical look on his face was anything to say, he wasn’t buying it.
“It was a very large door?” She tries, a sheepish smile causing her dry lips to crack even more. He chuckles and she knows he’ll let it go. So long as Jimmy made her happy Sebastian wouldn’t push anything.
But the minute she was done; God help Jimmy Stone.
