Collaboration Round Ends!!

As of 11:55 pm UTC, the submission deadline for the Collab Round is closed. Thank you everybody so much for all your group effort! Voting will be up and ready to go in a couple of days, but until then take a break!! It's well-earned!!

Reminder that minor edits are in fact allowed to your entry right up until voting opens up on August 12 at 12:05 AM UTC!!

On Posting Collab Round Entries and Missing Friendleaders

In Main Round 2, a number of teams had issues with their friendleaders not being available to post their entries in the Main Round 2 community in time. As a result, some teams were not eligible for MR2 preliminary voting because members of these teams failed to post their entries before the cutoff. While we tried to reach teams with inactive friendleaders ahead of time, we can’t poll every team right before posting time, and so we rely on friendleaders to take responsibility for posting main and collab round entries. However, sometimes things come up for friendleaders, and they are unable to post, sometimes even after believing that they’re good to go a week or two before the deadline. This is okay! Life happens!

To ensure that everyone can post entries in a timely manner and be represented in the collab round, please contact us at least 48 hours before the end of the round posting period (in this case, Aug 8 at 11:55 PM UTC if you have any concerns at all about whether your FL and/or vice-FL will be around to post on behalf of your team. If the situation with your FL/vice-FLs is unclear, we request that you talk to us; if your friendleader is unresponsive, we can give you posting access instead. (Please have only one person from your team contact us if at all possible.)

If you don’t let us know how to accommodate you by August 8 at 11:55 PM UTC, we cannot guarantee that your entry will be eligible for voting, since while we will do the best we can to help you right up until the last minute, we mods have jobs, school, travel plans, &c. that mean we may not be able to get to your requests on time.

We want everyone’s work to be represented in the collab round, both for the joy of producing fanwork and for the excitement of the voting process! Please help us help you by making sure you’re ready to post in advance of the deadline.

To vote, you must be signed in to your Dreamwidth account and join the HS_Worldcup comm. This is the only vote post for Collab Round. We will not be separating votes by division for this round, nor will we be doing a preliminary vs. final vote. This vote will end on September 13 at 11:59PM EST.
