I’ve played a lot of Mario Kart 8 lately and it inspired me with idea of 80’s biker Link. This was in many ways difficult, for once, I pretty much never draw vehicles, much less in perspective, and been a while I’ve done any illustrations with backgrounds either. For now I’m pretty okay with this drawing!

Leelah alcorn was sent to reparative/conversion therapy and I’m going to state again that this practice is only outlawed in three states, we need to push for it to be outlawed across the United States right now, this is what we should be fighting for, we can’t spare any more lives, we can’t allow the torture of any more children

conversion therapy is horrific and should be banned, but so much of leelah’s suffering can be directly attributed to her parents. i assume they would still have abused her regardless if they could put her through therapy. transmisogyny is so, so much more pervasive than this.

i am deeply uncomfortable with cis people (and anyone who isn’t a trans woman) immediately using this girl’s suicide to advocate for a legislative solution that would benefit all lgbtq+ people. it reads as vulturistic. she is not your dead to collect on.

let trans women grieve, let trans women decide how to move forward. boost our words, don’t just use her death to advocate for a solution that you would assume benefits us (and uncoincidentally, you as well) without challenging the cultural transmisogyny we’re all immersed in.
