I refer to this as my self portrait because that is my hand putting a piece of matza (the afikoman) behind a sofa cushion, which is what I do. It’s always behind a cushion! Sadly, we lost the felt pouch someone made in primary school. I usually put it in a napkin. Day 13: Time for #februllage2022 This a page from my book Collage Haggadah that is available on Amazon. This page was collaged for a poem called It Happened at Midnight. At some peoples’ Passover seders they recite this passage at midnight or even later. I remember as a child people would ask, how late was your seder? Ours lasted until one in the morning, they would crow. Time is a funny thing. There are stages of our lives where we long to be awake in the middle of the night and many different stages where we are dogged by being up in the middle of the night. I hate sleeping late these days but I despise waking too early.
