Currently at the launch of Metaxa 12 Stars at Dante. 🥃 Metaxa is a Greek spirit that was created in 1888. It's a mix of Muscat wines from the island of Samos, aged wine distillates, and Mediterranean botanicals. It's very interesting. The cocktail in hand is a Negroni. At Portland Cocktail Week, there is a library full of amazing books on cocktails and their histories. As I entered the room, this photo shoot was taking place. Pictured are some pretty great people in the industry and definitely well-versed. I plan on showcasing a few of these folks in the coming months. They are:
