I found this on Instagram and I thought these drawings are amazing. I thought the colours mix well together and that they are what help make a character. As for me, I usually us my sketch app to do some sketching.

Live Drawing - Colour Shading

This is my latest work in my live drawing session. As you can see, I have used red colouring pencil to apply shading to dark areas of the human figure. For a week, we had to think about different elements to apply to our live sketches to be creative with our methods, to expand on our way of doing live drawing.

I had to sketch with pencil first to do the outline of the whole body and use red to pinpoint where the dark patches and creases are, to make them stand out more. Red is actually my random choice of colour to use. I first thought about using paint, but then a thought came to me that paint will have to take hours to dry before I could keep my work in my sketch book, which is why I had to use colouring pencils instead.
