It’s another towel! 😁💚

Found one more. When I initially compared it with the colour fan squares, I was surprised 😲 Could this cheery spring shade actually be a Dark Autumn green?

After re-reading the instructions on how to correctly use the colour fan, I compared it with the green arms of the colour fan, and asked: Does this look great or does this look gross?

I think it looks great 👍🏼 and there is harmony. What do you think?

In a studio space where the curtains, bedspread, and towels are green, it’s not surprising why 😁And then there are all my plants 🌱👍🏼

In my search for anything else that is, or that I thought was, Dark Autumn green, I came up with ... more towels. What do you think - is this towel a Dark Autumn green?

This solid wood French provincial dresser and tall boy, along with nightstands, was meant for me, … after having been enjoyed by its original owner, that is.

At the garage sale, it had many admirers, but they’d all walked away. One of the drawers was jammed, and wouldn’t open. I too was walking away when one of the volunteers pulled out the hand hemmed handkerchief that had been caught on the drawer slide. It now opened freely and perfectly 💛 👏 Great timing! It was meant for me.

I wouldn’t change anything about it, but the paint has begun flaking. The set is telling me that it wants a new coat of paint. Hmm... which new Dark Autumn colour(s) shall I choose? Suggestions are welcome 🙏🏼

Why is the sky blue?

What does a prism do?

In my college science class, one of the students asked why the sky is blue. Our instructor replied:

What does a prism do?

🌈 A prism bends light.

🌈 Water droplets in the earth’s atmosphere act as prisms, and bend the white light of the sun.

🌈 The colour that bends the most is blue, so this is the colour that reaches our eyes, and our sky often looks blue.

Now, before posting this, I checked out a NASA video on the topic. It pretty much says the same thing except:

🌈 instead of a prism bending the sun’s white light, it’s the gases and particles in the earth’s atmosphere that are scattering the sunlight. Blue light waves get scattered the most. This is why we often see the sky as blue.

Blue was my favourite colour, but now it’s ALL the colours of a rainbow 🌈 ⚪️. Why choose only one when we don’t have to choose?

Today, there are two items being looked at. One is the multi coloured backdrop, with wavy lines. The other is a multi coloured tank top, with straight lines.

With both items, I got them early in my learning process when I was still matching garments to the colour fan squares.

The tank top contains a lot of pastels that I believe(d) to be Dark Autumn. The light pink, yellow, and aquamarine, as well as the navy blue stripes. These stripes look(ed) to be exact matches to the colour fan squares.

The backdrop fabric was a thrift store find. One side is shiny, and the other side is matte. Again, each of its colours appear(ed) to be exact matches to the colour fan squares.

This colour journey is a learning process.
