Turquoise is a transformational color, embodying its spectral position between the contemplative security of blue and the organic ease of green It suggests clarity of thought and communication. It is an inspiring color, associated with recharging the spirit, replenishing energy levels, and provoking positive thought. Turquoise is at once introspective and outwardly expressive, suggesting creativity and self-expression .. #turqoisecolor #turquoise #colourtheme #colourofcalm #colourofenergy #color #colourpsychology #colourmeaning #spirituality #oceancolour (at London, United Kingdom) https://www.instagram.com/p/CW7zuWTPfNb/?utm_medium=tumblr
App Icon/thumbnail Explorations
While I am still deciding on which palette to go with. I have been exploring a few different app icon ideas. I think I just want to keep it simple and have an “N” to represent “Notice”. This is also still up in the air. The more I do research I may change my mind. I think for now this is really sleek and simple which is what I am going for my overall brand identity.
The next steps from here are to figure out my colour palette and once I have done that then I can figure out which colour I am going to go with for my logo and then which app icon I am going to choose.
Colour Theme Explorations
I basically just wanted to visualise how the colours could look on my logo “Notice”. To follow up on my logo I have decided to go with the font “Lust” in italic. I felt it went best with the brand that I am starting to envision.
I like all of these palettes but the blue, green and purple ones stand out the most to me. I think it is nice to have a theme but have the colour in different shades but also having a different colour in there so that there can always be contrast.
My next steps are to narrow this down. I think once I start to work on wireframes and can see what my product is going to look like will really help me decide on the colours.
Colour Theme Research
From going through and looking at competitors to then just browsing to see how other designers usually use their colours. I went through https://coolors.co/ and found these colour palettes which I like. I was going to try and create my own out of the ones I found but I feel like the ones here are all good enough that I could use them. I just need to figure out which one I am going to use.
The ones I like the best and could see working with my brand are 1, 3, 4, 6, 8 and 10.
I am going to mess around with these palettes and see how they look with my notice logo.
