#Repost @franceswangtv ・・・ Rest in Peace, Natalie Corona 😔💔. 22-years-old. Just graduated from the police academy this summer. Just completed her field training before Christmas. Followed in her father’s footsteps, a 26-year #ColusaCounty Sheriff’s deputy. This 1st picture is of him putting her badge on during her swearing in ceremony. That in itself is heartbreaking. I can’t even imagine how proud he must’ve been. • Look at the joy on her face in every photo you’ll see of her. I don’t even know her and I can feel the radiant energy she brought to this Earth. Reading in @sacramentobee that when the @davispolicedepartment ran out of funding for her position, she took jobs at a fruit stand & as a waitress so she could still afford to volunteer with the department. Her father told @dougjohnsonfox40 that she gave $5 to a man she had to arrest so he could get something to eat when he got out of jail. • I have mutual friends with her & her family, so this feels close to home. She looks like she could’ve been my friend or a little sister. And she was taken way too soon when she responded to a 3-car accident in David last night. The suspect shot & killed her...he was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after barricading himself for hours. We still don’t know who he is and why he would do this...but my heart is broken for this young woman’s loved ones tonight. I hate sharing sad stories sometimes but her beautiful smile deserves to be seen and stories of her beautiful spirit should continue to spread. #NatalieCorona #RestInPeace https://www.instagram.com/p/BshVPPCAl5V/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=fjrxt4td5xfn
