One of the most dedicated artist, passionate about his craft , unselfish friend , genuine and kind human that you would encounter. He lived his life through action to be a leader and a role model. Col Wallnuts, Ski, and 2esae

“A major driving force behind my work was/is my grandmother, who was a self-taught traditional painter and supportive of everything I tried to achieve with my art.” As a life-long fan of abstract expressionism and modern art, captivated by the movement of an artist’s brush, it didn’t take Gregg Bruno, aka Col.Wallnuts, long to want more out of art than just doing graffiti of his name. With a wide open mix of media and a varied palette of graphic elements including 3d lettering, heavy strokes, drip work, movement, and textures Col. says “these different elements within each piece creates a complex statement that provides energy and life to surface structures and the environment the work has been painted in.” This recent wall at Knickerbocker and Melrose was done with Ski and 2esae, his partners in Ology Collective, and with the support of Arts and Rhymes, a Bushwick-based arts advocacy program creating a platform for artists in hip hop culture to showcase their work.  @col_wallnuts @artsandrhymes @ologycollective @2esae @ski_ur_newyork @scenesfromthesidewalk
