My hc for Deiphyle: Her only expression of love is hugging…
She doesn't talk much and doesn't kiss. She just hugs. She never says “Thank you” or “I love you”. she expresses everything through hugging. Sometimes it seems like she's hugging someone without reason. For example, if Tydeus is arguing with someone, she'd hug him as if to say “Don't fight :(”, which seems out of context. But it does have meaning and usually works.
Comaeto doesn’t act like her, she’s more like Tydeus(gives gifts to people while cursing them) because she was born like it and spent more time with Tydeus than Diomedes. But Diomedes acts like Deiphyle since he hasn't interacted with that many people(usually just his mother, sister, Sthe, and Ther who are a similar age to him), and his mother was the only person to show him love for a long time. Ofc Athena taught him how to make a speech in front of people but not how to show love to people. Yeah he learned how to do that later but he’s still awkward.
