“Sir Kaeya, I would appreciate it if you learned something called ‘personal space’.” Camilla says, frown on her face very evident. “You are always close, always flirting, do you now realize how awkward that is for me?” The dancer sighs, running a hand through her hair. Gods, she’s irritated at him for his actions, why does he keep doing it? It wasn’t funny.

To make this harder on myself, I’ll do one each from FFi through FFXV, and restrict it to playable characters, excluding the MMOs. Read more for length.

I: Thief. They have no character, but it’s objectively the worst class because it’s defining feature due to it’s high Speed is bugged and doesn’t even fucking work.

II: Honestly, fuck Gordon. Get out of my party, you ineffectual bitch. At least Josef has the decency to save the party.

III: Ingus. He’s too stuck up his own ass.

IV: Rosa. She’s just a damsel in distress for like ninety percent of the game, and then when you go to the moon, everyone treats her like she’s some grand, brave warrior who’s been with them the whole time, like fuuuuuuuuck off.

V: Krile. Just kinda comes out of nowhere, and somehow inherits literally all of Galuf’s everything? Why even bother killing him off, then? Why not just give us Krile from the start?

VI: Shadow. Pure, unadulterated edge doesn’t really do it for me, and also the way to rescue him from the Floating Continent is arbitrary and stupid.

VII: Yuffie. She’s just way too easily forgiven for her backstabbing, plus she’s just not useful in late game party composition, from my experience.

VIII: Honestly, fuck the whole cast. I hate every single one of them, with the exception of Zell (whom I only largely detest rather than hate), because he has a believable motivation in wanting to support his adoptive mother.

IX: Eiko is just drinking too much Dumb Bitch Juice for me.

X: Wakka and his racist prick ass need to go

XII: Penelo. At least Vaan is useful as a thief.

XIII: Lightning. What a bland, boring, milquetoast character. One of my biggest problems with the XIII trilogy is everyone’s development arcs are so rushed, but Lightning has the exact opposite problem, she’s stagnant from beginning to end. Hell, in the third game they remove her emotions and her characer does. Not. Change.

XV: Probably Gladio, only because of how much of a dick he is to Noctis after the events at Altissia. Like, you’d literally just gone on a journey to become a fully loyal, dedicated Shield of the King, and you’re still gonna treat Noctis like that immediately after the shit goes down and he’s clearly hurting over all the pain and loss? Christ alive.
