Well after 12 years and over 25 games, I finally got some work into an "Art of" book. The art of Recore to be exact. I have wanted this my entire career, but being that most of my work is comprised of sketches, it rarely makes the cut in books dedicated mostly to highly render paintings and 3D. I understand that I am a bit of an odd duck, that loving simple drawings that capture an idea without a lot of bells and whistles is, at the very least, an unpopular way to be. But I have always found a certain kind of elegance and beauty in simple drawings, even if it's not the flashiest part of the industry. I have told many, many stories with nothing more than a few lines and some spots of grey. It's nice to know that a few of them finally found their way into a book that holds them in the same regard I do.
