Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, Marisa always believed she was destined for more than what she had which was not a lot.
For the first five years of her life, Marisa knew what being part of the 1% was like. Her family had several businesses but that all changed in 2002 when the economic crisis hit Uruguay.
After her family lost pretty much everything, the Irigarays had to settle with a humble lifestyle which was not ideal for her mother, Isabela (who had married Carlos Irigaray because of his fortune).
From a young age, Marisa was told by her mother that she would be the one that would bring prestige and wealth back to their family name.
cheating tw Isabela tried everything from pushing both of her daughters into modeling and acting to cheating on her husband with wealthy man who would only give her expensive presents but nothing more.
A smart child, Marisa always got scholarships intro private schools and that only increased her need for money. She hated being the girl with the scholarship, not being able to invite her friends over because she felt ashamed of her small house that have no comparison with their mansions.
When she got into a prestigious high school, she decided to pretend. Told everyone that while her father’s company had gone bankrupt they still had a lot of family money and that her father now was a big executive for a bank. She dressed with designer brands, clothes and accessories that friends from her previous school had given to her.
It all seemed to work until her final year when a girl jealous of her found out she’d been lying and exposed her in front of the whole school.
For the next months, she was relegated and mocked for lying. The biggest humiliation in her life.
After graduation, she got a scholarship for a private school but opted to skip it because she couldn’t handle the rejection again. She enrolled into a public university and for some time she was happy until her greed came back.
She started dating a man 10 years older than her who had a lot money. There was no love between them, she liked the lifestyle he gave her and he liked showing her off. It was a silent agreement.
Marisa dropped out to be with him all the time but after two years he kicked her out of his life, and broke the news that he was engaged and that while she was great she was not good wife material.
Without a plan, Marisa decided to go back to school and this time she was told by her mother of a new experimental educational program. Without anything to lose, she applied for a scholarships and she was granted it.
But old habits die hard and once again Marisa began lying about her background, saying her father was a wealthy banker and that she was on the ship on a scholarship because she wanted to prove herself.

Marisa is independent, beautiful, spoiled, arrogant and temperamental. She craves freedom in every respect, but, whether out of fear or simply selfishness, she makes decisions that she herself knows will make her unhappy, but that she still carries out. She always emotional and not very rational. She’s often torn between being herself and her social ambition. She can be cruel and mean but beneath this exterior she’s very insecure and craves true connection. Marisa is very smart but she often plays dumb because it’s what people expect from her. As a friend, she’s loyal and will do anything to protect those she cares for.

{before} Growing up Liam everyone called Liam a ‘good kid’ and he really was. He never knew his dad so he was solely raised by his momma and because of that it made him super kind and caring. He’d be the first kid to walk someone else home because their parents forgot them. He raised his younger sister for the most part since his mom was always working. Liam is a Providence Peak native but moved to California right after high school. When we left his relationship with his family vanished. He stopped calling and they stopped trying. It was pretty much his fault because he resented his mom for never being around as a kid but never knew how to tell her so he just let it all bottle up.
{After} Ten years later When he did finally get a call from his sister, it brought him straight back to his hometown because she was really sick. He had no idea his sister had a three year old daughter. When she passed, she gave him custody and he decided to move home permanently. Liam owned a coffee shop in California and he decided to sell it and start fresh in Providence. So he's starting from the ground up. His sister was always obsessed with flowers and he decided to incorporate that to his new plans.
{Personality} Liam is a charmer. Not in a cocky way but more of a he-cant-help-but-flirt way. He was only in a serious relationship once with one girl for about three years but things didn't work out because Liam had no plans on having children or getting married. He felt like he already raised one all his life and didn’t want something to tie him down. But things change and his heart is softening up to the thought of a family of his own the more time he spends with his niece. His niece is everything to him. He’s legally her father now so his life pretty much revolves around her.

althea wasn’t exactly born under the most fortunate circumstances. her mother married a mortal prince to whom she sired her firstborn, a son. but while out in the sea, she was captured by the notorious pirate blackbeard and with his mastery of the dark arts turned her into human while she was his captive. she was only held captive by the pirate for a few weeks, but no one knew what happened to her. it wasn’t until king triton’s wrath befallen the pirates did attina return to them. but there was something different about her. and a few weeks later, they found out that she was with child. everyone in the palace was sworn to secrecy and only their closest family knew the truth.
things resumed to normal after awhile, but her mother refused to ever set foot on sea again as she stayed in her human form. they barred their castle even with all the villains already banished to the isle of the lost. they hid the truth of their legacy to althea, letting her believe that she was simply a princess through her father, who was a mortal prince. but when she turned seven, the dark magic inside her began to manifest.
that was the only time her parents decided to ask for help from king triton and it was the time they told her the truth about her real birthparents. though it remained a secret within the family, different rumors about althea spread--especially since she was the only one within her family that could use magic. then there was also her tears that turned into pearls. a legend about mermaids but it only manifested with some.
her older brother has been her protector ever since to those who would dare bully her. he’s been her rock ever since she was just a child and even now that they’re all grown up, they are still pretty close.
as a teenager, she was pretty much a mess with hormones and power. being near the sea was pretty much the only time that she feels calm. she can turn to a mermaid at will and turn back to a human as she please.
the irony of her name was that it means to heal, when she feels so broken. she thinks that her magic is a curse, especially when she knows that she is a constant reminder to her mother of what happened to her. althea never met blackbeard and she’s not sure she ever wants to.
althea isn’t exactly the most outgoing person and has a tendency to keep to herself because she always felt like an outcast before. however, she can be a little flirt at times, too. she’s also reckless and stubborn in the sense that if she’s set on doing something, no matter how stupid it is, no one would be able to change her mind.
she is also pretty neutral about the VKs being brought in to auradon. considering that she is actually a daughter of one, she could have been very much one of them, so she does sympathize with them. she likes to give them the benefit of the doubt because they’re just all victims of circumstances.
also i’ve almost forgotten to add but her voice?? it can actually be quite deadly. like a lot of mermaids, she has a very enchanting voice especially when she sings that she can easily lure men with it. there was one time where she nearly killed a sailor without even realizing it. her dark magic only made her voice more powerful. so yeah, it’s both a blessing and a curse tbh.

let’s start off by saying that rabastan is the least favorite child between him and his brother. it used to really bother him when he was younger bc he honestly thought there was something wrong with him. he always tried to better himself and change who he was to please his parents, but as he got older, he stopped caring about it and stopped trying to please them. he knew that no matter what he did, their feelings about him would never change.
he’s kind of an asshole, but he’s lowkey about it. he’s that guy that will be friendly and kind to your face and learn info about you, but he’ll release that info if it benefits him in some way. he won’t do that to the people he considers friends tho.
he keeps to himself most of the time, but he’s always watching everyone and everything. he’s also very stubborn and is a ball of anger. honestly, he can be totally fine one minute and the next he’s planning a revenge plan. sometimes even the smallest things can set him off, it just depends on the day and what he’s feeling.
despite his asshole tendencies, he can be a genuinely decent person whenever he wants to be. although, he usually reserves that for those he truly cares about (they can be purebloods or halfbloods, maybe even a singular muggleborn. highkey want him to care for a non-pureblood or two? it’ll go against his family values, and i love angst.)
after starting at hogwarts, he picked up a huge liking for potions which eventually grew into a passion. he was so passionate about potions that he usually followed slughorn around and tried to get the man to give him more advanced potion recipes. also, during his school years he was a seeker on the slytherin quidditch team. 10/10 was OBSESSED with quidditch.
unlike his brother, rab did fall in line after graduation and took an apprenticeship at a potions shop. one that, depsite the fact that they wouldn’t say anything bad about rod due to him being a lestrange, already had a sour attitude about rab. they wondered if he would do the same thing as rod and run off to help him at his own potions shop, but it’s been like 3 years and rab hasn’t. he has a big head, but he knows he has so much to learn and he won’t jeopardize that bc of his pride.
contrary to canon belief, rabastan isn’t a death eater yet. he prefers to be on the neutral side of things. why should he have to pick a side? he’s selfish and doesn’t care which side wins as long as he’s left alone. (which of course, being a lestrange, remaining neutral won’t last.)
also, side note: i have this idea that (sometime down the line) rabastan will eventually become a death eater. but something hella intense and life changing will have to happen to him for him to finally decide to sell his soul to the devil the dark lord and become a death eater.
as for plots, here is a small list of vague plots that i’d like filled for rabastan!
enemies: an obvious one. rab is a lowkey asshole that will fuck people over if it benefits him so these are inevitable.
frenemies: these are inevitable as well considering the community he is part of it.
friends: i’d like for him to have at least a handful of these. they won’t know him deeply, but he’d still be a friendly.
best friends: there could be one to two, maybe three maximum. rab doesn’t like to opening up to people, so these people would be really special to him. he’d be a ride or die type of best friend.
exes: maybe one or two past relationships, flings can work too. rab is pansexual, so any gender works. we can discuss whether they ended on good or bad terms.
betrothal: has to be one of the sacred twenty-eight, preferably one from the purist families. whether they hate it or are okay with it, we can talk about it.
maybe also a painful kind of love? you know, one where it never works or it shouldn’t even be a thing bc you know it can’t last due to arranged marriages (or maybe different blood statuses?)
remember these are just vague plots, and whatever you’re down for we can discuss their background and why they are the way that they are. or we can do something entirely different, anything works for me tbh. also, another reminder that i love angst and pain so throw all of it at me. ruin my life.
