So I'm posting this kind of late at night, so I'm pretty sure it'll get lost by the time people are awake, but I might reblog this post later so whatever I'm tired and am doing this now.
Me and a couple of good friends have been working on a comedic rap mixtape pretty much all summer, and it's nearing completion! We're really proud of all the sweat, tears, and swear words that have gone into this album and we're really excited to have as many people as possible to hear it. And I'll even explain a little about it, which I haven't done anywhere else, since this is really me being a proud parent on my blog as opposed to me being an advertising dude on every other social media. This song kind of pokes fun at the materialism that's found in a lot of hip-hop/rap these days. You have these guys acting like a t-shirt or pants will make them this irresistible sex idol, when they're really just kind of a shitty person underneath. We thought it'd be really funny to just be extremely cocky about possibly the worst accessory (fashion-wise) known to man. Matt's character (the proud father) was kind of a byproduct of who would actually be this proud of a fanny pack?
So yeah, really fun song to make! Hope you like it!
Girl Conception - Crucio Dat Swine Flu
At the height of the swine flu epidemic, two college girls did not have the expertise to combat the deadly disease with medicine - so they combatted it with rhyme!
The first comedic rap foray of the girl duo, "Crucio Dat Swine Flu" boldly lays a verbal smackdown to the disease that was sweeping the world in 2009. Though a proper music video was unable to be filmed before the two separated for summer break, a hodgepodge of moments was put together, as well as an intentionally filmed dance break.
