The way the flames danced here could be considered the land version of Chibi.
At least, that's how much it overwhelmed her.
She had gotten out of the burning building fine and dandy, but when she noticed, it had already been too late.
Always. Too late.
She saw people in there. Appearing in and out from the curtain of flames that shot up as fences. Her body seemed to move without her, while her mind stayed in shock. She felt hands on her arms, stern and holding her back. She heard herself screaming until her voice grew hoarse, the two behind her screaming at her.
She didn't hear it. She couldn't see anything else besides the people. The flames, and in that one second, a sight she had left behind 6 years ago. And then she blacked out.
She woke up in her own bed, but it felt cold--SHE felt cold. Alone, and scared. She pulled her knees close and hugged them. Why was she seeing it now?
