So Monster Hunter Rise came out so I gave my character bubblegum pink hair and I named her Seraphine because of you. Thought you'd get a kick out of it.
I can’t wait for Seraphine to swing around a giant sword and feel powerful, I love that for her.

5. Favorite NPC.
Either Acumine or August! Acumine is a copper dragon and our party’s employer - we’re some of the more active members of her information network - who is Enigmatic and is really fun to RP conversations with; August is a bronze dragon and lord protector of the city my character Lyn grew up in, and is definitely in a relationship with his personal assistant that he’s trying to keep on the down-low, I Know It. They’re old war buddies and work together from time to time so we’ve dealt a lot with both of them, Acumine moreso than August.
For the other people in my campaign know that Septimus is honorable mention and that I really want him and Lyn to be friends.
6. Favorite death (monster, player character, NPC, etc).
KRUTHIK HIVELORD. That’s still my favorite fight of ours, though the coven of sea hags we fought last session were definitely up there. (One day we really do need to tell the story of the kruthiks and the gelatinous cube session.)
Actually, Lyn taking out the one sea hag in our belated Halloween Episode is probably a close second specifically because it’s the first time she’s willingly killed something vaguely humanoid and our campaign has spanned like twenty sessions that are mostly six hours long. It was a big Character Moment for her.
21. Have you ever regretted something your character has done?
Aside from little “no wait there was a smarter way to do that” moments here and there… hm. I guess I do sort of regret letting Adriel go.
For context, Adriel is a warlock connected to the Big Mysterious Organization (called The Syndicate) that our party has been investigating for pretty much the entire campaign. We ran into her an abandoned laboratory that my character’s aunt was head of right up until it exploded two years prior to the story; though the official cause is human error, Lyn’s always suspected sabotage, and this was the first time she’d actually been to the lab to investigate for herself. Below the lab, we found Adriel, a mysterious monster, and a lab assistant who was thought to have died in the explosion (and also is implicated as maybe having had something to do with it).
I need to tell you that when I was reading the new Lovestruck short that came out today, I just yelled, "WE'RE GOING FULL FOXGIRL OBJECTIFICATION!"
SO MANY PEOPLE MESSAGED ME ABOUT THIS SAFDSGDHGFDFS
I don’t have any kind of control over what Voltage chooses to produce (and I didn’t write the short) but needless to say I am THRILLED with the decision to go Full Foxgirl Objectification
Oh hey, you know what getting your old blog back means? YOU STILL HAVE ALL THE MAHOU SHOUJO DRAGON STUFF
YEAH THEY’RE ALL BACK! Maybe this is a sign that I should get on top of that....

5. What is your favorite race?
Either half-elves or genasi! I’m currently playing a half-elf sorcerer in our campaign but I’ve played a fire/storm genasi (??? i was in middle school lmao) in 4e as my very first character and I played an air genasi for a oneshot, and I loved those experiences. Half-elves’ charisma is really fun and I just love genasi a lot. Of races I haven’t personally played, aasimar and tieflings and tabaxi all sound really fun as well.
8. Do you prefer theater of the mind or minis and grids?
During combat, absolutely minis and grids. Even if I could keep track of what was going on without them, which I can’t, it’s just so fun to physically see how everything is playing out. Outside of combat, either/or is fine; I can visualize a lot of things just fine when it’s not so hectic and you’re more focused on personal details and not the kruthik headed towards your face, but seeing the layout of a room can be a nice touch.
10. What is the most annoying thing that has happened during a d&d session you’ve played in?
Hmmm. In our current session we’ve occasionally played a joke a past its lifespan to the point where I’ve been pretty done with it, but I wouldn’t say anything annoying has happened, per se…
When I was in middle school I played in the world’s most irritating oneshot, though. We were in a small after-school D&D club and split into groups to design our own oneshots at the end of the year, but we only had like three hours or something to play through them all, and this one guy created this excessively complicated bullshit that took us so long that my team’s oneshot had to have a bunch of material cut to fit it in. It had like this sequence of pillars and each time you passed one you’d have to do everything from making a STR check to fighting an evil clone of yourself. Hoo boy.
Eventually I got fed up and had my good old genasi swordmage hop over the pillars to get to the objective. The dude’s incoherent rage at me bypassing everything is still one of my fondest D&D memories, hahaha. (The teacher supervising us gave me props for creativity and did nothing to intervene, so I think he secretly wanted this kid to get knocked down a peg. Also if a DM can’t deal with outside-the-box thinking that’s his own problem imo.)
More fic with full on foxgirl objectification and K.DA in general
oh god yes. there’s not enough wholesome wlw foxgirl objectification in the world and I will fix it singlehandedly if I must
Do you still have that pyrruby where pyrrha is the fall maiden in the works? And I know I've mentioned this before but I love your writing
oh!! I finished it but never posted it.... I should probably do that
Fuck that means your Mahou Shoujo Dragons got nuked too. God damn it
Yeah, every other day is a “fuck, I lost that too, didn’t I?” realization
but I still think about MSD all the time and I’m lowkey grateful the earliest drafts are nuked so I can start fresh
