IMPORTANT. Early this year I decided to embark on a journey to step into my truth as an artist and as an advocate for the arts. In so doing, I connected with @Adrienne Williams and became co-producer on the @msrprsntd project. The combination of the vision and message was one I had hoped would cross my path. As a man of color assisting her vision I've seen subtle and overt attempts to thwart this idea, and it has caused me to have a paradigm shift as I was doing my own soul searching. In short, there was an entire community of women of color that I didn't think about who were being disregarded. Even though some of us guys call them our "homegirls", many of us assume that their lives are less complex and this couldn't be further from the truth. I learned a lot working on this project.
