Husband Bruce Wayne Drabble
————————
The two of you were relaxing in bed on one of the rare days bruce has off. He was reading a book with his glasses hanging on the front of his nose, and you were just doing some online shopping next to him.
You weren’t looking for anything specific, just some new clothes and trinkets you’d like. The two of you sat in comfortable silence, enjoying each other’s company. Every once in a while, Alfred would knock on the door to bring you two something to eat. Right now you were just munching on some cookies he had baked.
Scrolling through one of your favorite websites, you found a dress that you really liked and clicked to see the details of it. Once clicking on it you realized it was a bit more pricy than you were thinking it’d be. You cringe and clicked out of that tab and back to the browsing section.
“Darling don’t you have my card saved on there?” Bruce speaks, not even glancing up from his spot in the book. You turn your head to him and respond.
“Oh, I do. Why?” You ask him with a confused look on your face.
“You didn’t buy that dress you just looked at, it would look beautiful on you.” He tells you, finally looking up from his book and directly at you. Your face flushes, realizing you’ve been caught.
“Well, it was way overpriced Bruce. I don’t need to spend five thousand dollars on just a simple black dress.” You respond to him, looking away from him so he couldn’t see how red your face had gotten.
Bruce doesn’t say anything yet. He puts his bookmark in his book and sets it on the nightstand next to the bed, folding and putting his glasses right next to his book. He then turns over to you and grabs your face to make you look over at him.
“Darling, I could buy you twenty of those dresses and not even notice a dent in my account. Now buy the dress, alright?” Bruce sternly tells you, giving you kiss on the forehead and grabbing your laptop that you were using. He clicks back on the dress that you were looking at and adds it to the cart, handing the laptop back over to you. Once he’s done, he turns back over to the nightstand to grab his glasses and book and continues reading like nothing happened.
You try not to look too shocked while clicking the check out button on the website.
