More explorations in comic inking. Many miles to go. Spite- Revenant,
I got to teach a class at the Rock Alum Branch Library this past Sunday and it was the bees knees! The class was on character design, and we covered a BUNCH of stuff: visual development, silhouettes, back story, character alignment, and lots more. The kids were absolutely amazing and came up with some great stuff. My favorite was either a snake that was in the mafia or a dog sorcerer whose name was Fat Dog.
The event was sponsored by Sakura, and they gave me the coolest goody bag full of all sorts of free swag! I was totally blown away, and I can't wait to try all this new stuff, especially the gel pens (don't judge).

More comic practice inks. It's going take me a while to truly get my head around this stuff in an intuitive way. But I feel like I am making progress. The foreground is still hard to read over the background, but I might drop those inks to a grey in the final. Edit: Flats in there now. Bring on the lighting pass!
My comic studies continue with some pencils on a mock up page Domino and Omega Red I'm not super fond of it, but there is so much learning to do, so I am glad I finished it. More for more, MOAR I SAY!
Calling the Domino educational page done.Heavier with the blacks then I really like, but as usual I feel I have learned stuff, and that after all is the objective. Next piece will be filled with excessive detail. I don't hold with the style, but it may be instructional.
