ok so im in the midst of drawing a ridiculously long comic and there's a scene, like, 14 chapters from now a character gets deadnamed but in the script it's just written as literally "DEADNAME" rather than a name, and I can't decide how to deal with it comic-style when I get there, bc the one other time I've written a story where that happened it was just a narrative book-y sort of "describe around it" sort of thing where I never said the name but this is a comic so...to all fellow comic authors and anyone seeing this poll which is probably the best:
sooo...
Just have a blacked-out bit in the text
Have the actual name and just never refer to the character as that name
Secret third option?? (in tags/replies ig)
And just to be clear I am very genderqueer & writing about my own experiences, like it is needed thematically for the story and stuff, I just can't decide how to literally have it look
