Ricardo Venâncio at Lucca Comics and Games
Ricardo Venâncio, one of our artists and regular collaborator of the italian publisher Passenger Press, is going to Lucca this year.
Ricardo Venâncio is scoring major points recently. After working on the past two years as a guest artist on Passenger’s latest anthologies, Apocalypse Tarot and Racconti Indiani, Ricardo and Passenger Press collaborate again for a third year in a row, this time on a 300 plus collective book called Amazzoni.
Amazzoni, Storie Della Progenitrice is a stand alone prequel to the bigger anthology, with 30 pages illustrated by Ricardo from an original concept by writer Alessandro Cremonesi.
At the same time that Amazzoni is coming out, Ricardo is joining Vito Delsante and Dean Haspiel, to contribute to The Purple Heart, the story about a US Navy soldier who becomes Brooklyn’s cosmic guardian after the city secedes from the USA. The webcomic is part of a shared universe called New Brooklyn that has been announced recently at the New York Comic Con. The project will be going online in 2016 at LINE Webtoons and you can know more about it over at Over at Newsrama.
If you're in Italy and want to meet Ricardo, he will be at Lucca Comics in a few days signing Amazzoni and other works at the Passenger Press booth, Padiglione Giglio, stand E330, from Friday November 30th until Sunday November 1st."
If you can’t go to Lucca, don’t worry, Ricardo is selling watercolors,
illustrations and original pages, some from Racconti Indiani, at ComicHeart.
Soon, pages from Amazzoni will be available at ComicHeart. If you want to
make a reservation go to the Contact page and state which pieces you
are looking for.
