Are people confusing Cass with a different character?
Someone posted an odd comment on reddit talking about how “getting metahuman powers” has been overdone with Cass but iirc, Cass has never been given any metahuman powers of her own before.
Did I miss an arc or something? The only other time she has had powers was in DCeased. Cazzam was awesome and all but it was not canon and she was VERY into using that power.
While I understand the frustration of fans, I can’t help but feel that some of the hate is misplaced or carried over from previous Cass comics/issues.
The concept is interesting given Cass’s willingness to trade for power. Let us not forget that,
“Mediocre for a lifetime… perfect for a year”,
was from her literally agreeing to a death match she was expecting to lose. She, for sure, considered less lethal trades if it meant fulfilling *the mission*.
Here are some interesting topics or points to consider.
If this power possesses no detriment to people other than Cass, why wouldn’t she use it?
Are her issues with the Wu Clan and the Blood more important than the mission and the possibility of SAVING JUST ONE MORE PERSON?
If Cass didn’t bring Tenji and Jayesh to Gotham, was there a falling out? What does this entail for Cass?
There are other things to consider and my points may not be as engaging to other people, but this concept does have potential.
