Eobard did bring Barry back in the comics! Flash Rebirth by Geoff Johns, it's about Barry coming back post his death in Crisis on Infinite Earths (as opposed to Rebirth which followed New 52), Eobard takes the credit for bringing him back but to keep screwing up everything. It's the comic that retcons Nora was killed when Barry was a child and Henry died in prison for it, and has a lot of Eobard going back in time to mess with Barry's life, but it's a good comic even though Geoff Johns is not one of my favourite authors
Ahhh I’ve heard of Rebirth! Interesting. Definitely on my list if/when I start reading Flash comics
Me before the Flash show came out: I can't wait for flash to come out!!! Maybe now I'll have people to share my love of the flash clan with! And just maybe I'll have actual flash fanfics to read!!!!!
Me scrolling through ao3 after flash came out and only seeing flash/captain cold fics: I really should have known better.
