Chapter 192: Priority: Pax: The Counter-Raid on Synthetic-Insights, Part Three, Finale The Normandy team fight Sergeant Sterling
A girl asked if I liked CnC Yuri, I said yes, ofcourse. And she sent me smut???? Idk what that has to do with Yuri, the funny mind control guy from Command And Conquer.
'Twisted Insurrection Mod' is such a beautiful piece of fanwork, like the sheer mass of labor and creativity and time that went into it and how it looks and sounds is gorgeous
But man, design-wise I really struggle to play it. I started the campaign missions and it's like, crucial exposition and dialogue rushes by in a wall of text, sometimes tiny in a corner of the screen, and suddenly everyone is running around on your screen like barely visible panicked ants and shooting and you click like crazy and the whole mission is over in about 3 minutes and you have NO idea what happened (you are informed that you won at "27% efficiency"; ok cool but what did I do exactly).
Design-wise, even if you mod a well-known game, my angle would always be to make the first missions slooooooooow. Get folks used to the interface, let them absorb the exposition. I always hate it when strategy games make it all about click reflexes, and right off the bat is brutal.
Maybe the later missons have better pacing but getting into it feels a bit like a chore
Command & Conquer: Historia, Personajes, Anécdotas y Papercraft, History, Characters
