How would Temmet work as a commander? Can he be put into a graveyard, then when exiled with embalm, put into the command zone instead? And can Temmet be on the field at the same time as an embalm token of himself? Thank you~
Temmet would work fine as a commander since he’s a legendary creature. But that’s not what you’re asking. ;)
So, yes, you can let Temmet go to your graveyard and then send him to the command zone when you use his Embalm ability from the graveyard. That part works just fine.
The token created by Temmet, Vizier of Naktamun is also named Temmet, Vizier of Naktamun and is also a legendary creature. Since these two legendary permanents have the same name, controlling both of them at the same time will invoke the legend rule and force you to put all but one of them into your graveyard. You can’t have both around simultaneously.
Also, the token created by Temmet, despite having the same name as Temmet, isn’t your commander and thus any combat damage it deals to a player won’t be considered to be commander damage.

Alice controls a Platinum Emperion. Bob attacks Alice with his Commander, a 21/21. Alice doesn't block. What happens?
Alice takes 21 damage. Her life total doesn’t change. She loses when state-based actions are checked because she’s taken 21 combat damage from a single commander.
The fact that Alice didn’t lose any life doesn’t mean that she didn’t take the damage. The damage still happened, it just didn’t have the usual effect of changing her life total.
Regarding Commander damage: It's only dealt via combat, correct? You can't, for example, use Bosh Iron Golem's ability to fling a total of 21 damage to kill someone, you actually have to send him in, right?
Correct.
Only combat damage is commander damage and will count toward the 21 damage to an opponent.
Noncombat damage dealt by your commander is just damage.
My opponent has 42 life and I have my commander heartless hidetsugu in play. When i activate him will that be the 21 commander damage for an instant kill?
No.
Only combat damage is commander damage. Noncombat damage dealt by your commander doesn’t count toward the command damage win.
Does platinum emperion and/or worship work against losing to commander damage?
No.
Platinum Emperion and Worship both change the effect of damage being dealt to you, but that damage is still dealt to you and still tracked as commander damage even if it doesn’t cause you to lose life.
does omnath locus of rage ability count as commander damage ? thanks
No.
Commander damage is only the damage dealt by an attacking commander as part of the combat damage event.
