I'm sorry...

I got an email notification tonight about kudos one of my fics got and went looking and ended up finding a bunch on comments on some of my fics that I had never replied to.

If that's you, I am so sorry I haven't replied.

2025 was a bitch, my life changed a fuckton and I'm still adjusting.

Your comments mean the world to me, I want you to know that.

I got a job in October 2025, which greatly impacted my creativity and my health (mental as well as physical). Since I resigned at the end of April, I have felt my stress levels go down and my creativity come back.

I'm painting again. I'm writing again.

Oh and I'm devouring hollanov fics nearly 24/7 (who needs sleep?).

Hoping to bring you more fics soon, in more than one fandom.

And my week! This was posted on a fic in my current series in progress.

"SAFT" is an acronym for Sugar Apple Fairy Tale, the teeny-tiny shojo anime/light novel fandom I've been writing in for close to three years now. One of the things that attracted me to it was the dark cast over what sounds like a light, bright "cute girl makes candy sculptures while accompanied by a beautiful fairy" story. They're moving through a world loaded with misogyny, classism, bigotry and slavery of magical creatures. I've slowly been weaving a tale of how they and their friends are trying to change things, but sometimes it's hard to carry on when you feel like you're writing in an echo chamber. Now I feel some inspiration to push through a bit of a slow patch!

Let this be a reminder that there's always an audience out there!

"Writers who ask for comments are so entitled"

Saw this the other day on a fic (not one of mine), and it gave me such a vicious rush of frustration that I had to put my phone down. No, writers aren't entitled if they ask for comments. We're fans just like the readers are. We crave interaction with fellow fans, as many readers do. We work very hard on the stories we share and, at the end of the day, comments turn the ideas in our brains into words on the screen.

We only want to share our ideas and geek out with other fans, what's so wrong with that?
