hey! i have been loving your commune challenge lately and i have become inspired to start my own. I was wondering if you could put your lot up for download the one you started with only because i suck at building and i cant find anything close to it. if not thats cool i just wanted to say that your challenge is great anyways haha !

You are so sweet! I would love to put my current lot up for download but unfortunately it has a lot of cc that would be difficult for me to track it all down. However~ I did upload a cc-free commune called the Ruins Camp in Windenburg (get together ep) and I’m also building one in San Myshuno that will be up on the gallery once I finish it! My gallery ID is Simmingbee (just like my tumblr and twitch) and if you need any help, I’ll happily build you a starter commune if you’d like!

Hello! I noticed when you followed me recently and I did get a chance to check out your blog as well! I’m looking forward to sitting down and get a chance to really read some of the things you’ve written! Thanks so much for reaching out!

So to answer your question~

I am very loosely following the original rules found on the sims forums here.

I also did a little post about my “version” of the commune challenge if you’re interested in reading it. You can find that post here!

If you’re interested in starting your own commune challenge, you can always use one of the communes I’ve built~ I’ve posted one of them here (windenburg) 

But really, I’m just having fun with it and creating my own “rules” and story as I go! If you’re interested in starting your own commune challenge and need some tips or have any questions, feel free to shoot me a message or another ask and I’ll do my very best to help out!❤

What is the commune challenge?

Hello Nonny!

I did answer another ask recently about my commune challenge here that links to the “official” challenge and rules but in all honesty I deviated from that challenge almost instantly.

To sum it up: Meadow Carver (My founder) is leader of a small commune of sims. They live off the land in tents and live according to their own way. None of the commune members are allowed to have jobs outside of the commune, and new members are brought in when a member leaves, dies, etc.

I don’t use money cheats, and I also follow a few of the legacy challenge rules as well. In truth, I suppose I could write up “my” version of a commune challenge if people are interested, but in all truth I’ll say this; I have the most fun with challenge when I’m not sticking to strict rules or guidelines. I try to let my sims be sims and take screenshots and add dialogue accordingly!

Hi!! I just thought about something! There are not many sheltered areas in your commune! Are you planning to adapt it for seasons (to create sheltered areas for rainy days or days when it’s too hot outside)? :)

That is an excellent question! My current commune doesn’t have a lot of sheltered areas at all, but i’m going to assume that tents will protect sims from the elements a bit? Plus my current commune is in Oasis Springs, so there’s very little chance of freezing temperatures!

That being said, I am looking forward to seeing how seasons will impact the commune! I may have some major renovations to make!

(and of course, implement some beekeeping!)
