The “Manliest Brony” is Riding Into BABSCon 2018!
Do we even need an introduction for this guy? His name is synonymous with the phrase “Manliest Brony in the World”. He is the man - the legend - and he’ll be at BABSCon this year (which we can say, now that it’s 2018)! Ladies and gentlemen, fillies and gentlecolts, we present to you the one, the only, “DustyKatt” Rhodes as a community guest at BABSCon 2018!

DUSTYKATT - THE MANLIEST BRONY IN THE WORLD Who is this goofball? And why can’t people stop staring at that mustache? Dusty's life is a manly checklist. The son of an auto worker (have you driven a Ford lately?), high school and college athlete (baseball, football), former bodyguard and ranch hand, trained Big Time wrestler, and Harley mechanic whose custom motorcycles have appeared on the cover of “Easyriders”. A pessimist would say “he can’t make up his mind”; an optimist would say “no single career is big enough for his mustache”. And he watches a cartoon show intended for little girls. Well, what do you expect from the Manliest Brony in the World? What’s with that? Well, aside from making him grin like someone who just found a twenty dollar bill in his underwear, it’s given him a chance to do what he does best: ham it up. Dusty is known primarily for his former show “Stay Brony My Friends”, his YouTube videos which have gone viral, and separating convention-goers from their money at charity auctions. Dusty fearlessly treads upon the crushed skulls of YouTube trolls and hack journalists as he destroys stereotypes. What he is most proud of, though, is his fans. The finest bronies in the world (his audience… that includes YOU, right?) have come together to raise over 50,000 dollars for a variety of charities. This has also piqued the curiosity of documentary filmmakers. He can be seen in “Thatch and Dial”, a Youtube series he is collaborating on with Andy Stein (Mandopony), as well at the Analyst Anarchy TF2 series with Dr. Wolf and friends. His continued appearances on Bronies React, and new gig as multiple characters on the Fallout Equestria radio play by East Corp. Productions as well as in the animation “Allister and Melody by Luximus. He co-starred in a student film called “Under” with an on screen roll. And completed his first book narrations in the “Portals of Infinity” series with book 3 “Of Temples and Trials” and book 4 “The Sea of Grass” on both Audible and Ibooks. Stay Brony, my Friends.

It’s Animation Domination as BABSCon Welcomes its First Community Guests of 2018: Minty Root, Toucan LDM, Lightning Bliss and Yaasho!
It’s the holiday season and we’re spreading the joy as we welcome our first community guests for BABSCon 2018!
First, you know him as the animator of many great works including Luna’s Determination, the Project Thundercloud series, The Return of Queen Quake (which is totally the best one, though we could be biased), Good Morning Baltimare, and many, many more: Minty Root will be making his return at BABSCon next year.
What would happen if Batman, Elsa, Sailor Moon, every other series under Celestia’s sun met MLP? ToucanLDM is answering that question, and he’ll be attending as our second community guest!
Next up is our first animator from the analysis community. Animator of several works such as Bronies Stamp the Ground as well as many a review, you may know her as the TF2 Analysis Anarchy's Head Editor and Blue Team Heavy, and we’re pleased to welcome the rainbow-colored analysis alicorn herself: Lightening Bliss!
Finally we have our first SFM animator of 2018, who’s most famous works include Lone Digger (in which Octavia and Vinyl pull off the most bad-flank bank heist in Equestrian history) as well as contributions to fandom projects such as the popular Doors and Doors 2, self-professed lover of beef jerky: Shaun Purvis!

Minty Root is a Canadian fan animator, known for his work on Luna's Determination, Good Morning Baltimare and many more animated projects.
He's interested in cinematic storytelling, dramatic lighting and ambiance, but also cute little ponies.

I’m known as the creator of the My Little Pony meets series on Youtube. Some of my most notable works include Batman, Spider-Man, Rapunzel, Elsa and Sailor Moon meets MLP!
Lightning Bliss:
Meet Lightning Bliss, the spunky, tiny, rainbow alicorn of the Brony Analysis Community, proud member of the Secret Rift Cafe as well as the Blue Team's "Heavy" and Lead Editor for Josh Scorcher's and DRWolf's TF2: Analysis Anarchy Series! When she's not reviewing or training on the battlefield, she's learning how to control her magic, work on her artwork and animation, or is up to silly shenanigans with her friends amongst the Brony Community! With her pet and guard dog Twink the rainbow monster watching over her, Lightning Bliss takes on the world, exploring new conventions and making new friends and meeting her fans! I'm an amateur Source Filmmaker (SFM) animator with roughly 3 years of experience who loves animating ponies! It's one of my favorite hobbies next to playing World of Warcraft (For the Horde!). Coffee and beef jerky are two addictions of mine. Someday, I hope to travel across Europe.

Bringing their love of trains to the My Little Pony community, BABSCon is pleased to welcome one of the most unique groups in the fandom: The Railroad Bronies!

Started in 2013, after thinking about how and what to do in order to contribute to the Brony Fandom, the Railroad Bronies (RRB) was started as a way to express our love for trains and MLP in the brony fandom. The Railroad Bronies over the years have branched out and have made many friends throughout the brony fandom and across the world. The Railroad Bronies have been featured & mentioned in several different media/news articles, such as: Trains Magazine, LA Weekly, LALS Engine Booster & A Brony Tale. It is actually very surprising to find out how many train enthusiasts are within this community ours. From Rail fanning to model railroading, Live Steam & even the occasionally tomfoolery railroad brony skit, the RRB have gone on and had many adventures involving trains & MLP a like. The Railroad Bronies always love meeting new brony railroaders to talk to so come by and say hi. Also the Railroad Bronies have a big weakness for LENINADE (a soda pop either created by Pinkie Pie or Starlight Glimmer)

These amazing artists are very well-known throughout the fandom and beyond for their amazing 3D paper creations. Called "the Renaissance man" by Tabitha St Germain, this artist known in the fandom as The Chocolate Pony and SouthParkTaoist has been creating tarot decks and card games. These include "Horse Famous," "Pony Racing," and "Changeling". The Chocolate Pony is known for his academic panels on fandom culture and narrative art history, as well as hosting hosting numerous podcasts. He designed BABSCon’s own little Silver Span mascot!

BABSCON GETS ANIMATED WITH ARGODAEMON, WEIMTIME, AND MAGPIEPONY!
It’s 2017 San Francisco and BABSCon is bringing Toon Town to you with their latest Community Guests! That’s right folks, all the zany action of cartoons without any of the refrigerators falling on cartoon heads will be right here at the Bay Area Brony Spectacular. So let’s give it up for Argodaemon, WeimTime, and Magpiepony!
Having joined the fandom back in early 2013, Argodaemon started using Source Filmmaker to make short animations to pass the time. Since then, he has built quite the name for himself on YouTube as a 3D animator, artist and teacher. While well known for videos like “Leaving the Stable”, “Luna’s Banishment” and “Remembrance”, he also spends his time creating content on DeviantArt and running weekly streams for those looking for help in SFM, video creation or just to have a good time.
WeimTime is an avid producer and runs the channel and business weimtime.org. They are 18 people strong and are known for their Synthesia and the Weimtime Plays series as well as a variety of short animations. WeimTime has gone from a single YouTube channel at 155,000 subscribers to a fully-fledged micro production company in his area. They have produced content from a social media commercial for EQD to charity album promotional videos. WeimTime knows business, but also how to have a good time, kick back, and enjoy a good cigar. If you come to BABSCon, maybe he will share one with you too.
Known for her continuing series "Princess Trixie Sparkle" and "Pinkie Tales"—both have between 500,000 and 3,000,000 views per video—Magpiepony is almost as excited as we are to be a part of BABSCon 2017 this year!

This April, BABSCon welcomes back The Stooges of Brony Analysis as our latest Community Guests! Be there as Doctor Wolf plays straightman to the pyrotechnic antics of Josh Scorcher and the sadistic tomfoolery of Silver Quill live and in person only at BABSCon!
Doctor Wolf’s online persona is a wolf psychoanalyst who made his name examining the various neuroses exhibited by the characters featured in the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic cartoon series. His episode reviews—which feature his trademark dry wit—often come out the same day as the new episode airs, which provide the brony community among some of the first words to be spoken about the latest episode.
Josh Scorcher—a.k.a. The Fiery Joker—is a former Marine both in real life and with his online ponysona. As such his military bred temperament is colors his episode reviews in ways both exaggerated with comedic effect and precise with his analysis. Over the past six years he expanded his youtube channel to Let’s Plays of classic video games.
Silver Quill’s online review show, After the Fact, instantly became a staple of the Brony Analysis Community and on Equestria Daily. Whereas as most reviewers strive to get their episode reviews out within the same week Silver makes sure to live up to the name of his show quite literally. However the lack of a timely release is more than made up for in the high quality of his videos, where his trademark slapstick humor is on full display.
