Personality Swap Prompt for Round 2 of @tmnt-ocxcanon-comp !!!
I find it so silly thinking about them swapping personalities and the shenanigans that come from it xD
Swap Leo is still the leader and still responsible to an extent but he now has Min's temper, sarcasm and his overall sass has increased by 50%. He also just kinda swears sometimes like Min does lol. This makes him struggle more being the leader because a lot of the time he gets in his own head, a lot of insecurities plus the fact that with Min's temper now? He gets annoyed much quicker and now also just bonks the people he is annoyed with just like canon Min.
Swap Min is now the ideal Chinese daughter, responsible, calm and collected with the added Space Heroes hyperfixation (Yes, she's a Captain Ryan stan, save her-). High academic achievements just like she has canonically but now? With Leo's inherent maturity and responsibility? She has a much better reputation amongst adults as the goody two shoes. Screams tired older sibling energy despite being the younger sibling and does not explode in anger when annoyed. In fact, she buries her emotions much more and is quite guarded with them. Which unfortunately leads to her having weaker fire powers later down the line despite having an easier time controlling them. She is also a bundle of pushed down angst waiting to explode as events in the series happen.
Swap Leo now calls her, fearless. Teasingly at first, seeing as how she likes to play the hero despite being a normal human girl when they first met, later it becomes a genuine cute nickname.
And Swap Min calls him, wǒ de tiānshǐ or just tiānshǐ. Which, like how Leo calls her tenshi canonically, translates to 'my angel' or just 'angel'.

For Leo: he oddly is fond of Koya’s humor, and the vibes she always gives off when she’s in the room. He finds it charming in a way, even though Koya’s humor is… definitely for specific people, it’s a tough crowd for her. Koya’s vibes definitely bring something to the function, it could be a sign of utter chaos, but in a fun way.
For Koya: she doesn’t know why she hangs out with Leo. I guess you can say that he’s nice, or whatever. But, she doesn’t openly say anything about why she still hangs with him. But, in reality, Leo reminds Koya of what she wants to be. She wants to be seen as popular, she wants to express her feelings outright more, she def wants more friends she can have a real connection with. The thought of Leo’s life sometimes fills her with envy, especially since her upbringing before this point wasn’t the best for her… Koya thinks maybe she can have a chance with living life better if she had Leo around her.

Featuring my Childhood Friends au, where Leo and Min met and became brief friends at 5 years old after a faithful encounter (which I have written a small one shot about below :3):

Min hadn't meant to wander off this far away.
She just got curious when she saw the opened sewer cover near the playground she always played at. Her parents were busy and Xiao had went off with his friends. She just wanted to do some exploring when she climbed down! Nothing more, she swore! She was going to climb right back up.
But then after every turn she took, everything looked the same. She started to panic as she looked around, where was that sewer cover? She turned her head around, almost like she were running through a maze.
She can feel herself start to cry once she realized how utterly lost she was. Her little heart breaking from the absolute fear that she was never going to find her way back home to her family.
She plopped herself down, bringing her knees in to hug them close as she started to sob. She didn't know where to go. She was going to be lost forever.
She had been so scared and crying so much that she didn't hear the sounds of footsteps approaching her, but then she heard a small timid voice.
"Are… you okay?"
Leo asked as he looked at the human girl in front of him, he knew this was probably a really really bad idea but he heard the crying while he was out of the lair for a moment and just had to see what was going on.
It was what Captain Ryan would do after all.
He watches her lift her head, trying not to move too much as to not scare the poor girl. He watches her teary chocolate brown eyes widen slightly as she looked him up and down.
He was almost ready to retreat and pretend this never happened. He was nervous, his heart racing against his plastron, his dad did warn him about humans and how dangerous it was up there.
Which was why the first thing the girl said confused him so much.
"A-are you an…alien..?"
"What? Me?…Alien?"
He watches the girl nod for a moment, sniffling as she tried to dry away the tears still falling down her cheeks.
"You're green like one…", He hears her mumble as their eyes met. Chocolate brown staring into his ocean blue ones.
"N-no. No, I'm…not an alien. I'm-"
Leo stops himself for a moment, it was bad enough a human girl saw him. He shouldn't be telling her what he is right? Then again, she was just a little girl and she seemed to be in some trouble.
"I'm a turtle."
"Turtles don't talk, though…"
"Well, I do."
He watches her nod again, seemingly satisfied with that answer. There was an awkward silence while they looked at each other, seemingly trying to process the other's prescence.
"Are you okay? I heard you crying."
The girl sniffled again as he quietly watched, he wanted to help if he could. He didn't like seeing her cry, despite only just now meeting her.
"I got lost… I came in t-through a hole near the playground but n-now I can't find it."
Leo nodded quietly, as he looked around for a moment. "It's not that far from here, I think I know the way.", He tried to reassure her as he held out his three fingered hand which she took nervously.
"R-really? You'll help me…?"
"Mhm!"
And off they went, hand in hand as Leo lead her through the twists and turns of the dark sewers. He was careful to make sure the girl stayed next to him while they walked as to make sure she doesn't somehow get lost again.
It took a few minutes but eventually they made it to the spot, made obvious by the light shining down on them from the opened sewer hole.
"Here we are, this should take you right back up."
Leo said, gently letting go of the girl's hand as he sees her light up in relief and a bright smile on her face. What he didn't expect was for her to jump him into a hug, squeezing him close for a moment.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you!"
He felt his face grow warm at the sudden contact, only able to awkwardly pat her back as she held him close.
"Y-your welcome, happy to help-", His voice squeaked, which Min didn't even register when she let him go.
There was another awkward pause after the girl let him out of the hug until she spoke up again, "Can I see you again, tomorrow?"
"What?"
"I want to see you again tomorrow! So, we can play!"
Leo was baffled for a moment.
"But, I can't… go outside."
"I can come down here again! I-if you want to! I just… never had friends to play with before and we're friends, right?"
He wasn't sure about that, he had just wanted to help her but she was so happy to call him a friend. He didn't really have friends either aside from his brothers.
As he looked at her smiling nervously, the spark in his chocolate brown eyes. Any sort of fear and uncertainty disappeared, "Yeah, we're friends."
He watches the girl's beaming smile as she let out a small squee, almost unable to contain her excitement.
"I'm Min! It's nice to meet you new friend, what's your name?"
Leo's eyes widened for a moment as he panicked again, he already broke his dad and sensei's one rule of not being seen. Surely, he can't tell her his name, right???
That would put his whole family in danger from what he knew.
But, this was his friend. He had to say something.
"…Ryan!"
WHAT?! He didn't know why he said that. It just slipped, why did it just slip!?
"Ryan?…Like Captain Ryan in Space Heroes?", Min asked, tilting her head curiously.
"….yes?"
"THAT'S SUCH A COOL NAME!!! It's so nice to meet you, Ryan!"
He almost breathed a sigh of relief but can't help but grin as well, her happiness was infectious and they had only just met.
"I gotta go! I'll come back here tomorrow, same time! Bye Ryan!" Min said, as she climbed back up to the top of the sewer hole and climbing out.
"Bye Min." Leo said before watching her disappear completely, he backed away into the shadowas as he heard the distant sounds of Min reuniting with her family, he doesn't hear her mention him or her time down in the sewers.
That's good. She's his friend and he can trust her!
He… has a friend.
And she's coming back to see him tomorrow!
Leo's heart felt warm, as warm as his cheeks. He smiled widely as he made the run back to the lair, hopefully noone in his family noticed he was gone.
Question for Leo, if he accepts asks. Does Min have a specific aesthetic?? Moodboard or simply fashion style?? I know she enjoys dressing up in traditional clothing for certain occasions but does she incorporate that into her everyday outfits?? she is GORGEOUS and Apollo doesn't want to make the fatal mistake of making someone clothing that doesnt suit to their personal style, especially on their birthday, I mean what?? that must've been the wind, Min's present is HEAVILY classified and you heard nothing
Leo was able to sneak away from Min for a moment longer when he got the question.
"Oh! If I had to describe Min's aesthetic, I would say she leans quite a bit into the punk aesthetic. She likes to dress up when the occasion calls for it but for everyday? She's more often than not in a loose shirt and jeans or in her kunoichi uniform, the pink jacket and black pants." The blue masked turtle starts to ramble.
"I have seen her in one or two outfits inspired by a traditional qipao so I think she would love to wear something with that element in it. She loves anything with stars or lotus blossoms on it and her favourite colours are pink, black and white! Though..." His voiced died a little in his throat as his cheeks go red, "I personally think she looks really good in blues too-"
"Oh! and she may not admit it but she likes bows and ribbons! I see them in her hair often but she wears hair clips the most-"
His thoughts got interrupted when he hears Min's voice approaching, "Oops! I gotta go! Hope that helps-", Leo said before running off.
Plot: While figuring out the cause of her friends' hallucinations, Min got blasted by the mutant Mushroom Men's spores and spirals into a hallucination of her own greatest fears.
Notes: I truly just wanted to write angst and remembered the hallucination idea I had for Min in this episode. LEO AND MIN ARE DATING IN THIS ONE YAYYYY-
Trigger Warnings: Vague descriptions of drowning, panic attacks, vivid hallucinations, descriptions of loneliness and isolation. I think that's all but please let me know if there are any I missed.
The last thing Min remembered was being shot in the face by a bunch of spores that were almost radioactive in their golden colour. Wheezing and coughing as her senses got attacked on all fronts.
"Min…!", She could've sworn that sounded like Leo, but the sound of his voice was muffled. Wait, why did it sound like that? Where was he? Where is she? She was in the sewers with Leo. They had to seperate from the others because they were all starting to see things.
But where was Leo…?
And why did she feel so heavy…? It feels cold and wet. She looked around seeing nothing. Nothing but… water.
Her senses all feel numb, she can't see anything. It's nothing but ocean. All she can feel is cold. Cold and wet and heavy.
She can't move.
Why can't she move…?!
Every time she tried to get up but it feels like the currents of the ocean around her were keeping her down.
She felt overwhelming panic flooding her chest as she tries to scream out for Leo, Mikey, anyone…!
Min immediately let out a choked gasp. Water. It was forcing it's way into her throat.
She was drowning.
Her mouth slammed shut. Her hand gripped her shirt tightly, right at her chest. Her chest that was starting to feel tight and numb.
Suffocating. Drowning.
But she couldn't be. This wasn't real. It couldn't be real. She was in the sewers. She was with Leo…
She was with everyone else. They were just there. Leo was right there.
She can't be alone.
She couldn't be. Not again.
Please. Please please please.
She couldn't be alone again. Not again.
She couldn't breathe. She was going to die here. She was going to die all alone and in the middle of this drowning, suffocating ocean.
She could barely feel the hot stinging tears falling down her cheeks. Could barely feel her tight chest fighting for air. Her body was shaking violently and her head hung low.
She was choking out sobs, unable to hear herself from the sheer emptiness of the ocean floor around her.
It was too quiet. Too quiet. Too quiet..!
She can't hear anything…!
She wanted to scream and shout. Call out for someone…! Anyone! She can't do this. She can't do this alone.
Leo, Mikey, Raph, April, Donnie, Casey…!
Anyone! Please. Please, god please.
Her chest felt heavy, even with her mouth closed shut. It feels like she was suffocating, like water was going to fill her entire being.
Then suddenly all at once, every sense came flooding back in. It felt just as overwhelming and painful as it did when she lost all those senses.
She could suddenly feel air being forced into her lungs. Her body feeling warm at an instant, too warm. Too much.
She curled into herself, choking out sobs and being unable to take a breath as she continued to shake. She can hear her desperate hoarse sobs. But that coupled with the various voices talking all at once?
Too much. Too much. TOO MUCH…!!!
She can barely make out the voices, all of the noise ringing in her ears. Making it harder and harder for her to open her eyes.
Min hugged her knees close, burying her face against them as her broken choked sobs got louder. She couldn't hear the soft footsteps approaching.
She couldn't hear the quiet concerned voice calling out to her, "Min…? Tenshi, can you hear me…?"
"Min…?"
Leo stood next to Min's shaking curled up form, hesitating. His initial panic over her lack of prescence earlier disappearing, replaced with an overwhelming sense of worry… and guilt.
Slowly he knelt down next to her, concern filling his chest when she doesn't even respond to his physical prescence.
Placing a gentle hand on her shoulder as he tried his best to get her to lift her head, respond. Do anything to let him know she was okay…
"Tenshi… say something. Please, say something."
Leo shook her shoulder gently, trying not to let his panic rise at how stiff and unresponsive his love seemed to be.
He was terrified. But he couldn't let that show, not when she needed him.
He felt her finally jolt to life, almost scrambling out of his hold as she whipped her head up. She stared at him with absolute fear and panic.
The look of bewilderment on her face softened into a quick relief…
Only for her to start choking into sobs again upon finally seeing him.
It broke Leo's heart to see her like this.
"L-leo…? Leo, is…is that- Are you-"
Min's voice sounded hoarse and so quiet, breaking into another sob as she failed to finish her thought.
"Yeah…It's me, tenshi. It's me. I'm here…"
Leo quickly assured her, gently holding her face in his hands as he held eye contact with her.
"Leo…L-Leo…!", A whimper escaped her that made his heart break further.
Leo jumped slightly when she immediately reached out, arms wrapped around him shakily and tightly. Her head buried against his plastron as she continued to sob. He feels her cling onto his shell in an almost desperate attempt to pull him closer.
"D-Don't leave me. P-please, please don't…please..", He hears her choke out amongst broken sobs, her breathing shallow and heavy, "I don't- I don't want to be alone again…"
He froze slightly, almost unsure of what to do or say for a moment before wrapping his arms around her. A hand gently cradling the back of her head and stroking her long black hair as he felt her sobbing and shaking against him.
"You won't be. You'll never be alone again, Min. I promise.", Holding her closer as he says this to her, his voice firm and soft. He feels her clinging onto him still, trying to bury her head closer against his plastron. He can feel her warm tears falling down her face and land against him, not that he cares in the slightest.
As Leo held Min closer, he glanced behind him. He could feel the others staring at them. Well, mostly at Min. He wasn't all too surprised by it, noone has ever really seen Min break down this badly before. The only comparable moment would be the time they had to leave her brother, Xiao behind with the Kraang not too long ago.
But this? This was different.
He picked her up into his arms, carrying her bridal style in an attempt to make sure she stayed close to him. Realizing, she probably needed the closeness to ground her in reality for now. He felt her lean closer to him, arms limply hanging on his shoulders and loosely wrapped aorund his neck.
An attempt to hold him close to her, he thinks.
As Leo walked, carrying his beloved home with his brothers, April and Casey close behind them. He quietly wonders what Min saw in her hallucinations or more accurately, what she experienced that had her so shaken up.
He couldn't imagine the horrors she experienced, knowing how bad his own hallucinations had been.
Whatever it was though, he knew one thing for certain.
He was never going to let her go through that horror again.
"Our timelines weren't in step. If time can really be turned back, give me one last chance."
"There's no way we could meet. But one thing is certain. If we see each other, we'll know. That you were the one who was inside me. That I was the one who was inside you."

Decided to do a piece based on Kimi no Na Wa/Your Name which means yes, LeoMin Kimi no Na Wa AU!
Where they don't meet in season 1 but through fate and the red string that connect their souls, Leo and Min swap bodies every other day. But unbeknownst to them, they are swapping bodies from very different points of time. Min before her death during the Kraang invasion in the season 2 finale and Leo after the events of the Space Arc in season 4.
Now Leo needs to find a way to save go back in time and save Min's life from the invasion. He had to. Even if he'll never see her again, he just wants her to live.
How’s Min’s relationship with Donatello and Raphael? As you mentioned she’s besties with Michelangelo
"Donnie and I don't really hang out much, I think he's crazy smart and a really important asset to the team but other than my basic knowledge of science and astronomy? We don't really hang out or talk. Unless he's telling me about his latest invention."
Min thought for a moment before continuing, "Honestly though, whenever he gets into fights with Casey about April? He's kind of annoying. You'd think after they got together that they would stop fighting over her."
"Raph and I didn't get along much at first. Back then, we'd only really spar and train together, not much talking or hanging out there. Unless it's with the whole group."
Min pauses and smiles, "But ever since our time at the farmhouse? We've gotten closer. I see him as a brother, like the other guys but aside from Mikey and Leo? Raph gets me a lot too. Maybe it's cause we're both a couple of hotheads but he was there for me when I needed him, so I have his back too!"
