A small private oasis of comfort and style in the middle of a big city!
This village in Calgary provides homeless veterans with compact houses, individualized counseling and other services to get their lives back.
On the topic of home decor and more specifically, home decor for actual SMALL APARTMENTS (in what universe 100 square meter suburban house is small or compact???), it’s so infuriating, that we are so stuck with certain concepts, that it’s pointless to google inspiration about beds that double as couches (u know, NOT murphy beds and not couches that can be spread to a crappy spare bed) or small dining table as coffee table (”No, Becky, I don’t want a fucking convertible table or normal coffee table! I want fucking 70cm x 70 cm table in front of my couch! I don’t have space or need for dozen separate tables, because you say everyone have to have them!”) or loft beds FOR ADULTS and not for kids! Or basically anything that’s not for “normal” McMansion. It’s tiny bit easier to find some tips for renters, but it’s still hard and most of it is in Apartment Therapy and once again aimed for actual houses and not small apartments. Like, why there actually needs to be separate bed and couch? Or separate dining table and coffee table and computer desk? Yes, I am well aware there are countless of homes that have the things I’d need in my home, but I am not resourceful or imaginative to figure out myself how to do them without them looking tacky and frumpy. And you know what? Not everyone needs to!
And I’m also aware it’s nearly 1 am, and I’m tired as fuck and still need to cook lunch for tomorrow’s D&D game, so this might not make any sense, but I’m also done bottling up even minor annoyances. Good night!

The views from inside are just wonderful.
“ Combining the desire for both a contemporary expression and inspiration from traditional architecture, the volume of the house adopts a gabled roof combined with sleek details such as the absence of roof projections, a mullion-less glazed corner with silicone joints, and frameless window openings. Inside the house, white painted walls and ceilings, diamond polished concrete floor, lack of conventional baseboards are all minimalist characteristics reinforcing the simplicity and purity of the space”
