I’m gonna be real, I am still enjoying taz but the fact that Justin doesn’t know or pretends he doesn’t know the abilities of his level 3 monk that he’s had from level 1 that he’s going to be playing in a long term campaign that he is, when you get down to it, getting paid to play, is. Frustrating.
like sir you play one (1) character and you are level 3 you should know how many attacks you have and, AND, if you forget, it’s written down for you on this handy dandy thing called a character sheet that you definitely have in front of you because you’re using it to make your rolls
if it was a home game, fine, but this is his JOB and he’s LEVEL 3. if he was a new player, fine, but he’s been playing professionally since 2014.
the man can tell a story, no doubt about that, but an actual play involves actual play, which means knowing what your character can do
and the worst part is, he does have a second attack, it’s just a bonus action from his monk martial arts feature, and the fact that he wasn’t confident in that and didn’t know his character sheet led Griffin to have him use a ki point to flurry of blows— one of only three that he has right now. in a game where the DM supposedly isn’t pulling punches around killing player characters, those resources are a big deal at low level
