the white lotus looks somewhat like the grand budapest hotel went on holiday and met succession. or something along those lines
Oh...oh Ollie, no.
That's nasty.
What am I watching.
Why am I watching this.
I love how unpredictable writing can he. Like, ok I’ve got an outline. I know basically where this is going, and then the characters decide to take the most unhinged route to get there. In related news, I wrote a relationship into this outline because I’m trying to expand my horizons or something (I hate writing romance), and I knew it was going to be pretty severely toxic and unhealthy. Like, that was the point, it’s plot relevant. And it is basically exactly as bad as I expected, if not even slightly worse. I’ve been writing a bunch of their scenes together because it’s easier to keep the continuity that way, so it’s been my main focus for the last few days. I did not plan on one of the characters (the victim, for simplicity’s sake) to pull an Uno Reverse and make this relationship toxic in the other direction. Literally, I was sitting there typing on my computer, asking, hey what are you doing? What is this? Why are you doing this? As though I’m not the one writing it. Wild experience.
love characters that trigger the i wanna throw rocks at his head until he fucking dies response.
