Yeah, you're right. But I can't exactly ask everyone at Regionals to stop playing UB cards can I? Especially if they're anything like Vivi.
I can easily ask my Commander pod to not do that, and they even obliged! But I prefer competitive Magic, and that doesn't happen in other formats.

Just Magic Things I Love (But Not Really)
Wooooo…I just love it when a man tells me he understands the hardships I face being a woman magic player. I just love it when he says he understands when he’s “built like a Viking” and I’m 4 feet and 8 inches. Just looooove it when he calls my concerns and me sharing my fears and experiences “passive aggressive whining bullshit.” I just love it. Love it when he says oh it’s just sooooo simple to get into competitive Magic. Yeah, I totally enjoy going to toxic environments, not being taken seriously or respected, (unless I have my boyfriend there) being treated like I’m stupid, assuming I’m a new Magic player all the time and explaining all the steps and mechanics, getting on my butt if I make the smallest mistake but it’s totally ok for them to make the same mistake, sexual comments (woo lucky me!) and just plain old being treated like I’m second to them and not treated like an equal. Boy do I sure love all that!

New Rules for #CommanderChallenge
It seems people enjoy the article, and I got a tip or two to improve. Now the big thing is to establish rules moving forward. Before that, I’ll explain what #CommanderChallenge is.
#CommanderChallenge is a test of skill in making a Commander deck, within a budget. The deck must be able to handle multiplayer edh, and be table top ready.
Rules
- List the Commander you want to see. - Give me a price for the deck. Price cannot be under $35 (This is the MSRP of the sealed Commander Product) - You may now add a theme to the deck (optional: Must be in reason. I can’t do a Mono red elf tribal deck) - No colorless generals (This is due to wastes, being high priced. General mana issues for a budget)
To Clarify a few things. The General itself will not affect the price of the deck. This is in regards to generals like Leovold, Emissary of Trest selling at an Average of $50, which would eat up the budget of most decks. I will randomly select one suggest every Sunday: Starting 22/1/2016. Then that Saturday I will post the deck. Rinse. Repeat. Thank you for your time. Sincerely, Gryffnwing
What would a magic player have to do to qualify for the pro tour in June? Wotc hasn't made it very clear what the path to get there is
A common mistake players who are just getting into competitive magic make that I've noticed is they will go out and build whatever standard deck won the last big tournament. Now for the most part this is usually okay and it'll probably pick you up some wins on arena, but if you actually want to win the most number of games the deck you should look into building is not the deck that won the tournament, but instead the deck that appeared the most number of times in the top eight. And those two things might not be the same.
First competitive Mythc Ranking vid...did pretty well cleaned up 3-0 and beat an early season TOP 8 player!
Man, this next EDH deck is gonna kick ass. Building Rafiq to takedown a four man competitive pod should be interesting
