I’ve been exploring comphet and realizing attraction to unattainable men (celebrities, fictional men, etc) is just another form of it
Sigh
Is the lesbian in me happy I’m learning or is she just face palming?

The hardest thing about writing wlw fanfiction but also having written mlm and mf fanfiction is this:
For every mf pairing, whether that be x Fem! Reader or a het pairing, you get 100 engagement (for easy math, likes and reblogs etc)
For mf pairing, but with an OC instead of reader insert, it’s 90
For mlm pairing, it’s anywhere from 120-90
For a pairing for male x gn reader its 50
And for anything anything sapphic it’s less than 5 (and I’ve noticed trans or non conformity tends to fall here as well)
The problem being of course that there’s so little sapphic content that’s even correct anatomically that between that and comphet and fem characters being drastically underdeveloped and underrepresented on screen that I think wlw (like myself) just kind of give up. But it also means if we ever write it, there’s no to little audience.
And you get it because being sapphic is hard as fuck. And writing for yourself as a sapphic is beautiful but it’s also kind of exhausting to put it out into the world.
And people will tell you that there’s no disparity between het pairings and mlm or sapphic pairings but there is.
Idk just feelings the feels rn I guess.
