Indulge in the luxurious flavors of prime beef steaks complemented by a rich mushroom sauce, perfectly paired with the exquisite 1945 Chateau Mouton Rothschild Wine. The wine's complex aromas and velvety texture harmonize beautifully with the savory notes of the steak and the earthy richness of the mushrooms.
Ingredients: 1 bottle 1945 Chateau Mouton Rothschild Wine. 2 prime beef steaks ribeye or filet mignon. Sea salt. Freshly ground black pepper. Olive oil. Rosemary sprigs. Garlic cloves. Butter. Mixed mushrooms such as cremini, shiitake, and oyster. Shallots. Beef broth. Heavy cream. Fresh parsley.
Instructions: Season the beef steaks generously with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over high heat. Add rosemary sprigs and garlic cloves to infuse the oil. Sear the steaks in the hot skillet until browned on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest while you prepare the sauce. In the same skillet, melt butter and saut shallots until softened. Add mixed mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they release their juices and start to brown. Pour in beef broth and simmer until reduced by half. Stir in heavy cream and simmer until the sauce thickens slightly. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste, then stir in chopped fresh parsley. Serve the steaks topped with the mushroom sauce and paired with a glass of 1945 Chateau Mouton Rothschild Wine.
