Probably could have worked on this longer and made it look better, but time is of the essence! I just hope there’s no typos haha
yep, I’m looking for people to help out! If you are interested, feel free to message me or email me at the email specified :-)
For the music, I’m aiming for the old style samurai film music (Think Yojimbo)
For voice actors, I’d prefer voice actors to be within the LA area that can travel to the CalArts school, or have access to a professional recording studio.
The characters are mostly male adults, but the villain is androgynous
Sonic Cacoethes needs composers!
As Startrail Studios, and additionally, Sonic Cacoethes, are completely free things, this is a unpaid job! However, you can, and I highly encourage, you release your tracks on YouTube and Bandcamp, or whatever, and I don't care how much you charge for them, you made the music, after all! You'll need to provide some examples of your music, and you'll be added to Startrail Studios' team, and you get to pick which tracks you want to work on, there's inspiration tracks in a huge list. There can be multiple composers, as I'd rather not force just one person to tackle an entire soundtrack like this, ESPECIALLY if they're not paid by me.
Auditions for Composers are OPEN!
Do you enjoy composing music that makes people feel on edge, tense, or outright terrified? Are you 18 years of age or older? If you said yes to both of those, then boy do we have an opportunity for you!
A Nightmare’s Guide to Dream Walking, an upcoming Urban Fantasy/Supernatural Podcast is currently looking for a composer!
Sadly, this is currently an unpaid position and this entire project is for fun. (We will be making a Patreon for the show once we have more written, but do not bank on that by any means.)
All of the below information can be found on our Audition Page as well!
The deadline for this audition is November 1, 2020.
Please send an email with the below information with the subject line “Composer Audition - A Nightmare’s Guide to Dream Walking Podcast" to [email protected]:
Name, age, pronouns, ethnicity, gender (optional), and sexuality (optional).
How long you have been composing.
Why you are interested in composing for this podcast.
1 to 2 samples (3 minutes maximum for each) of songs that you have composed. Samples do not have to be in the same genre as the podcast. (Please attach as .MP3 or .WAV files, no preference.)
Any other information you may feel is applicable, outside of additional samples.
Anything else not listed above that you would like us to know.
Upon sending your email, you should receive an automatic reply thanking you for your communication. If you have any additional questions or would like clarification, please email us or message us on here or via twitter.
We hope to hear from you soon!
Composer Call
Hey everyone! I'm approaching the point in production where I need to bring other people on board. Keep your eye out for casting calls in the coming months but what I really need at this point is someone who is better at writing music than I am.
I need a composer for my intro music, it will be a short piece, ~30 seconds, and I have a pretty good grasp on what I want it to sound like. Email me at [email protected] or message me through Tumblr for more details. Please send three clips of your own composition that you feel show the scope of your work.
I can afford to pay, but not much, around $10.
Listeners can help me pay people Here I find it very important that people are compensated for their work to the full extent of my abilities.
