Vintage Computer Ads - Pt 1
Tried to get some vintage computer ads but ended up getting some interesting computers. The Byte Magazine cover was a quick Midjourney 6 experiment. I tried excluding all the computers with double or weird keyboards but some of them were too interesting to me. And I think 1 of them is powered by lava.
A little off target on these. But I like the purple chaos ones.
While a letter writer in the December 1987 issue of Family & Home Office Computing suggested Apple ought to make an Apple II laptop if it knew what was good for it and Michael Crichton wished for a “ten-pound portable Mac” in the issue’s “celebrity comments” special article, Apple did include an ad promoting its now low-end (if still not that “cheap”) Macintosh for use in a(n apparently quite well-heeled) home office.

First time I saw it in a Soviet edition of “Computer basics” from “Understanding Computers” series by Time Life UK publisher. Still inspired.
Another thing it can do is become obsolete before you finish paying it off.
